and jesus answering saith unto them, have faith in god.
ኢየሱስም መልሶ እንዲህ አላቸው። በእግዚአብሔር እመኑ።

then certain of the scribes answering said, master, thou hast well said.
ከጻፎችም አንዳንዶቹ መልሰው። መምህር ሆይ፥ መልካም ተናገርህ አሉት።

and jesus answering them began to say, take heed lest any man deceive you:
ኢየሱስም መልሶ እንዲህ ይላቸው ጀመር። ማንም እንዳያስታችሁ ተጠንቀቁ።

and jesus answering said unto him, simon, i have somewhat to say unto thee. and he saith, master, say on.
ኢየሱስም መልሶ። ስምዖን ሆይ፥ የምነግርህ ነገር አለኝ አለው። እርሱም። መምህር ሆይ፥ ተናገር አለ።

and jesus answering said unto him, suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness. then he suffered him.
ኢየሱስም መልሶ። አሁንስ ፍቀድልኝ፤ እንዲህ ጽድቅን ሁሉ መፈጸም ይገባናልና አለው። ያን ጊዜ ፈቀደለት።

and jesus answering said, o faithless and perverse generation, how long shall i be with you, and suffer you? bring thy son hither.
ኢየሱስም መልሶ። እናንተ የማታምን ጠማማ ትውልድ፥ እስከ መቼ ከእናንተ ጋር እኖራለሁ? እስከ መቼስ እታገሣችኋለሁ? ልጅህን ወደዚህ አምጣው አለ።

and jesus answering said unto him, seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
ኢየሱስም መልሶ። እነዚህን ታላላቅ ሕንጻዎች ታያለህን? ድንጋይ በድንጋይ ላይ ሳይፈርስ በዚህ አይቀርም አለው።

እርሱም መልሶ። ጌታ አምላክህን በፍጹም ልብህ በፍጹም ነፍስህም በፍጹም ኃይልህም በፍጹም አሳብህም ውደድ፥ ባልንጀራህንም እንደ ራስህ ውደድ አለው።

እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! እናንተ የሰከራችሁ ኾናችሁ የምትሉትን ነገር እስከምታውቁ የረከሳችሁም ስትኾኑ መንገድን አላፊዎች ካልኾናችሁ በስተቀር ( አካላታችሁን ) እስከምትታጠቡ ድረስ ስግደትን አትቅረቡ ፡ ፡ በሽተኞች ወይም በጉዞ ላይ ብትኾኑም ፥ ወይንም ከእናንተ አንዱ ከዓይነምድር ቢመጣ ፥ ወይንም ሴቶችን ብትነካኩና ውሃን ባታገኙ ፣ ንጹሕ የኾነን የምድር ገጽ አስቡ ፡ ፡ ፊቶቻችሁንና እጆቻችሁንም ( በርሱ ) አብሱ ፡ ፡ አላህ ይቅር ባይ መሓሪ ነውና ፡ ፡
