c/አንድ ሰው ሲዋደድ ተራራ ጫፍ ጠፍጣፋ ሜዳ ይሆናል።

and when he had sent them away, he departed into a mountain to pray.
ካሰናበታቸውም በኋላ ሊጸልይ ወደ ተራራ ወጣ።

and jesus went up into a mountain, and there he sat with his disciples.
ኢየሱስም ወደ ተራራ ወጣና በዚያ ከደቀ መዛሙርቱ ጋር ተቀመጠ።

then the eleven disciples went away into galilee, into a mountain where jesus had appointed them.
አሥራ አንዱ ደቀ መዛሙርት ግን ኢየሱስ ወዳዘዛቸው ተራራ ወደ ገሊላ ሄዱ፥

and he goeth up into a mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him.
ወደ ተራራም ወጣ፥ ራሱም የወደዳቸውን ወደ እርሱ ጠራ፥ ወደ እርሱም ሄዱ።

and seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
ሕዝቡንም አይቶ ወደ ተራራ ወጣ፤ በተቀመጠም ጊዜ ደቀ መዛሙርቱ ወደ እርሱ ቀረቡ፤

and it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to god.
በነዚህም ወራት ይጸልይ ዘንድ ወደ ተራራ ወጣ፥ ሌሊቱንም ሁሉ ወደ እግዚአብሔር ሲጸልይ አደረ።

and jesus departed from thence, and came nigh unto the sea of galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.
ኢየሱስም ከዚያ አልፎ ወደ ገሊላ ባሕር አጠገብ መጣ፥ ወደ ተራራም ወጥቶ በዚያ ተቀመጠ።

then we inspired moses , saying : smite the sea with thy staff . and it parted , and each part was as a mountain vast .
ወደ ሙሳም « ባሕሩን በበትርህ ምታው » ስንል ላክንበት ፡ ፡ ( መታውና ) ተከፈለም ፡ ፡ ክፍሉም ሁሉ እንደ ታላቅ ጋራ ኾነ ፡ ፡

had we sent down this quran upon a mountain , you would have seen it humbled go to pieces with the fear of allah . we draw such comparisons for mankind , so that they may reflect .
ይህንን ቁርኣን በተራራ ላይ ባወረድነው ኖሮ ከአላህ ፍራቻ ( የተነሳ ) ተዋራጅ ተሰንጣቂ ኾኖ ባየኸው ነበር ፡ ፡ ይህችንም ምሳሌ ይገመግሙ ዘንድ ለሰዎች እንገልፃለን ፡ ፡

had we sent down this koran upon a mountain , you would have seen it humble itself and split asunder for fear of allah . such are the parables we strike for people so that they will reflect .
ይህንን ቁርኣን በተራራ ላይ ባወረድነው ኖሮ ከአላህ ፍራቻ ( የተነሳ ) ተዋራጅ ተሰንጣቂ ኾኖ ባየኸው ነበር ፡ ፡ ይህችንም ምሳሌ ይገመግሙ ዘንድ ለሰዎች እንገልፃለን ፡ ፡

had we sent down this qur 'an upon a mountain you would indeed have seen it humbling itself and breaking asunder out of fear of allah . we propound such parables to people that they may reflect .
ይህንን ቁርኣን በተራራ ላይ ባወረድነው ኖሮ ከአላህ ፍራቻ ( የተነሳ ) ተዋራጅ ተሰንጣቂ ኾኖ ባየኸው ነበር ፡ ፡ ይህችንም ምሳሌ ይገመግሙ ዘንድ ለሰዎች እንገልፃለን ፡ ፡

had we sent down this qur 'an upon a mountain , thou wouldst surely have seen it humbling itself and cleaving in sunder for fear of allah . such similitudes we propound unto mankind that haply they may reflect .
ይህንን ቁርኣን በተራራ ላይ ባወረድነው ኖሮ ከአላህ ፍራቻ ( የተነሳ ) ተዋራጅ ተሰንጣቂ ኾኖ ባየኸው ነበር ፡ ፡ ይህችንም ምሳሌ ይገመግሙ ዘንድ ለሰዎች እንገልፃለን ፡ ፡

then we told moses by inspiration : " strike the sea with thy rod . " so it divided , and each separate part became like the huge , firm mass of a mountain .
ወደ ሙሳም « ባሕሩን በበትርህ ምታው » ስንል ላክንበት ፡ ፡ ( መታውና ) ተከፈለም ፡ ፡ ክፍሉም ሁሉ እንደ ታላቅ ጋራ ኾነ ፡ ፡

had we sent down this qur 'an on a mountain , verily , thou wouldst have seen it humble itself and cleave asunder for fear of allah . such are the similitudes which we propound to men , that they may reflect .
ይህንን ቁርኣን በተራራ ላይ ባወረድነው ኖሮ ከአላህ ፍራቻ ( የተነሳ ) ተዋራጅ ተሰንጣቂ ኾኖ ባየኸው ነበር ፡ ፡ ይህችንም ምሳሌ ይገመግሙ ዘንድ ለሰዎች እንገልፃለን ፡ ፡

had we sent down this qur an ’ upon a mountain , you would have then surely seen it bowed down , blown to bits by the fear of allah ; and we illustrate such examples for people , for them to ponder .
ይህንን ቁርኣን በተራራ ላይ ባወረድነው ኖሮ ከአላህ ፍራቻ ( የተነሳ ) ተዋራጅ ተሰንጣቂ ኾኖ ባየኸው ነበር ፡ ፡ ይህችንም ምሳሌ ይገመግሙ ዘንድ ለሰዎች እንገልፃለን ፡ ፡

if we had caused this qur 'an to descend upon a mountain , thou ( o muhammad ) verily hadst seen it humbled , rent asunder by the fear of allah . such similitudes coin we for mankind that haply they may reflect .
ይህንን ቁርኣን በተራራ ላይ ባወረድነው ኖሮ ከአላህ ፍራቻ ( የተነሳ ) ተዋራጅ ተሰንጣቂ ኾኖ ባየኸው ነበር ፡ ፡ ይህችንም ምሳሌ ይገመግሙ ዘንድ ለሰዎች እንገልፃለን ፡ ፡

" i shall go up a mountain , " he said , " which will keep me from the water . " " there is no getting away , " said noah , " from the decree of god today , except for those on whom be his mercy . "
( ልጁም ) « ከውሃው ወደሚጠብቀኝ ተራራ እጠጋለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡ ( አባቱም ) ፡ - « ዛሬ ከአላህ ትዕዛዝ ምንም ጠባቂ የለም ( እርሱ ) ያዘነለት ካልሆነ በቀር » አለው ፡ ፡ ማዕበሉም በመካከላቸው ጋረደ ፡ ፡ ከሰጣሚዎቹም ሆነ ፡ ፡
