by those who set the ranks in battle order
መሰለፍን በሚሰለፉት ፡ ፡

i call to witness the chargers , snorting , rushing to battle before the others ,
እያለከለኩ ሩዋጮች በኾኑት ( ፈረሶች ) እምላለሁ ፡ ፡

o believers , when you encounter the unbelievers marching to battle , turn not your backs to them .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! እነዚያን የካዱትን ሰዎች ( ለጦር ) ሲጓዙ ባገኛችኋቸው ጊዜ ጀርባዎችን አታዙሩላቸው ፡ ፡

o believers , when you meet unbelievers on the field of battle , do not turn your backs to them .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! እነዚያን የካዱትን ሰዎች ( ለጦር ) ሲጓዙ ባገኛችኋቸው ጊዜ ጀርባዎችን አታዙሩላቸው ፡ ፡

believers , when you meet in battle those who deny the truth , never turn your backs on them :
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! እነዚያን የካዱትን ሰዎች ( ለጦር ) ሲጓዙ ባገኛችኋቸው ጊዜ ጀርባዎችን አታዙሩላቸው ፡ ፡

believers ! when you encounter a host in battle , stand firm and remember allah much that you may triumph .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! ሰራዊትን በገጠማችሁ ጊዜ እርጉ ፤ ( መክቱ ) ፡ ፡ አላህንም በብዙ አውሱ ፤ በእርግጥ ትድናላችሁና ፡ ፡

and if those who disbelieve join battle with you they will take to flight , and afterward they will find no protecting friend nor helper .
እነዚያም የካዱት ( የመካ ሰዎች በሑደይቢያ ) በተወጉወችሁ ኖሮ ( ለሺሺት ) ጀርባዎችን ባዞሩ ነበር ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ዘመድም ረዳትም አያገኙም ፡ ፡

advancing towards goliath and his army , they prayed to god for patience , steadfastness in battle , and for victory over the unbelievers .
ለጃሎትና ለሠራዊቱ በተሰለፉም ጊዜ ፡ - « ጌታችን ሆይ ! በእኛ ላይ ትዕግስትን አንቧቧ ፤ ጫማዎቻችንንም አደላድል ፤ በከሓዲያን ሕዝቦችም ላይ እርዳን » አሉ ፡ ፡

and when thou settedst forth at daybreak from thy housefolk to assign to the believers their positions for the battle , allah was hearer , knower .
ለምእምኖቹም ለውጊያ ሥራዎችን የምታዘጋጅ ኾነህ ከቤተሰብህ በማለድክ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ አላህም ሰሚ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡

and there were gathered together unto solomon his armies of the jinn and humankind , and of the birds , and they were set in battle order ;
ለሱለይማንም ሰራዊቶቹ ከጋኔን ፣ ከሰውም ፣ ከበራሪም የኾኑት ተሰበሰቡ ፡ ፡ እነሱም ይከመከማሉ ፡ ፡

for god had helped you during the battle of badr at a time when you were helpless . so act in compliance with the laws of god ; you may well be grateful .
በበድርም እናንተ ጥቂቶች ኾናችሁ ሳለ አላህ በእርግጥ ረዳችሁ ፡ ፡ አላህንም ታመሰግኑ ዘንድ ፍሩት ፡ ፡

and recall when he made them appear as few in your eyes when you met them in the battle just as he lessened you in their eyes so that allah might accomplish what had been decreed . to allah are all matters referred for decision .
አላህም ሊሠራው የሚገባን ነገር ይፈጽም ዘንድ በተጋጠማችሁ ጊዜ እነርሱን በዓይኖቻችሁ ጥቂት አድርጎ ያሳያችሁንና በዓይኖቻቸውም ላይ ያሳነሳችሁን ( አስታውሱ ) ፡ ፡ ነገሮቹም ሁሉ ወደ አላህ ብቻ ይመለሳሉ ፡ ፡

so if you confront them in battle , treat them [ in such a wise ] as to disperse those who are behind them , so that they may take admonition .
በጦርም ላይ ብታገኛቸው በእነርሱ ቅጣት ምክንያት ( ሌሎቹ ከሓዲዎች ) ይገሰጹ ዘንድ ከኋላቸው ያሉትን በትንባቸው ፡ ፡

and allah repelled those who disbelieved , in their rage , not having obtained any good . and sufficient was allah for the believers in battle , and ever is allah powerful and exalted in might .
እነዚያንም የካዱትን በቁጭታቸው የተመሉ መልካምን ነገር ያላገኙ ሆነው አላህ መለሳቸው ፡ ፡ አማኞቹንም አላህ መጋደልን በቃቸው ፡ ፡ አላህም ብርቱ አሸናፊ ነው ፡ ፡

allah knows those of you who discourage others , and those who say to their brethren , ‘ come to us ! ’ and take little part in the battle ,
ከእናንተ ውስጥ የሚያሳንፉትን ፣ ለወንድሞቻቸውም « ወደኛ ኑ » የሚሉትን ፣ ውጊያንም ጥቂትን እንጂ የማይመጡትን በእርግጥ አላህ ያውቃቸዋል ፡ ፡

o you who have faith ! when you encounter the faithless advancing [ for battle ] , do not turn your backs [ to flee ] from them .
እናንተ ያመናችሁ ሆይ ! እነዚያን የካዱትን ሰዎች ( ለጦር ) ሲጓዙ ባገኛችኋቸው ጊዜ ጀርባዎችን አታዙሩላቸው ፡ ፡

( muhammad ) , remember the morning when you left home to show the believers their position in the battle ? god is all-hearing and all-knowing .
ለምእምኖቹም ለውጊያ ሥራዎችን የምታዘጋጅ ኾነህ ከቤተሰብህ በማለድክ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡ አላህም ሰሚ ዐዋቂ ነው ፡ ፡
