and niggardly when good befalls him
መልካምም ነገር ( ድሎት ) ባገኘ ጊዜ ከልካይ ( ኾኖ ተፈጠረ ) ፡ ፡

and niggardly when good touches him ;
መልካምም ነገር ( ድሎት ) ባገኘ ጊዜ ከልካይ ( ኾኖ ተፈጠረ ) ፡ ፡

and niggardly when good reaches him ; -
መልካምም ነገር ( ድሎት ) ባገኘ ጊዜ ከልካይ ( ኾኖ ተፈጠረ ) ፡ ፡

he is not niggardly of the unseen .
እርሱም በሩቁ ወሬ ላይ ሰሳች ( ንፉግ ) አይደለም ፡ ፡

but when they are fortunate , they become niggardly
መልካምም ነገር ( ድሎት ) ባገኘ ጊዜ ከልካይ ( ኾኖ ተፈጠረ ) ፡ ፡

but for those who are niggardly , horde their wealth ,
የሰሰተ ሰውማ የተብቃቃም ፤ ( በራሱ የተመካ ) ፤

and whenever good fortune comes to him , he grows niggardly .
መልካምም ነገር ( ድሎት ) ባገኘ ጊዜ ከልካይ ( ኾኖ ተፈጠረ ) ፡ ፡

do not be niggardly , nor extravagant that you may later feel reprehensive and constrained .
እጅህንም ወደ አንገትህ የታሰረች አታድርግ ፡ ፡ መዘርጋትንም ሁሉ አትዘርጋት ፤ የተወቀስክ የተቆጨኽ ትኾናለህና ፡ ፡

but when he bestowed his favours on them they grew niggardly , and turned away in aversion .
ከችሮታውም በሰጣቸው ጊዜ በእርሱ ሰሰቱ ፡ ፡ እነሱ ( ኪዳናቸውን ) የተዉ ኾነውም ዞሩ ፡ ፡

and as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need ( of allah ) ,
የሰሰተ ሰውማ የተብቃቃም ፤ ( በራሱ የተመካ ) ፤

but when his favors were bestowed on them , they became niggardly and in disregard broke their promise .
ከችሮታውም በሰጣቸው ጊዜ በእርሱ ሰሰቱ ፡ ፡ እነሱ ( ኪዳናቸውን ) የተዉ ኾነውም ዞሩ ፡ ፡

but when he gave them out of his grace , they became niggardly of it and they turned back and they withdrew .
ከችሮታውም በሰጣቸው ጊዜ በእርሱ ሰሰቱ ፡ ፡ እነሱ ( ኪዳናቸውን ) የተዉ ኾነውም ዞሩ ፡ ፡

if he asks you for them , and presses you , you are niggardly , and he brings to light your rancour .
እርሷን ቢጠይቃችሁና ችክ ቢልባችሁ ትሰስታላችሁ ፡ ፡ ቂሞቻችሁንም ያወጣል ፡ ፡

if he asks for all you possess and insist upon it , you will become niggardly , and it will bring out your malevolence .
እርሷን ቢጠይቃችሁና ችክ ቢልባችሁ ትሰስታላችሁ ፡ ፡ ቂሞቻችሁንም ያወጣል ፡ ፡

should he ask for your possessions you would be niggardly as it would be hard for you to give . thus , he would make your malice become public .
እርሷን ቢጠይቃችሁና ችክ ቢልባችሁ ትሰስታላችሁ ፡ ፡ ቂሞቻችሁንም ያወጣል ፡ ፡

it is you who are asked to spend for the cause of god , but some of you behave in a niggardly way . whoever behaves miserly does so against his own soul .
ንቁ ! እናንተ እነዚያ በአላህ መንገድ ትለግሱ ዘንድ የምትጥጠሩ ናችሁ ፡ ፡ ከእናንተም ውስጥ የሚሰስት ሰው አልለ ፡ ፡ የሚሰስትም ሰው የሚሰስተው በራሱ ላይ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም ከበርቴ ነው ፡ ፡ እናንተም ድኾች ናችሁ ፡ ፡ ብትሸሹም ሌሎችን ሕዝቦች ይለውጣል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ( ባለመታዘዝ ) ብጤዎቻችሁ አይኾኑም ፡ ፡

those who are niggardly and bid people to be niggardly and hide what allah has given them out of his grace ; and we have prepared for the unbelievers a disgraceful chastisement .
እነዚያ የሚሰስቱ ሰዎችንም በመሰሰት የሚያዙ አላህም ከችሮታው የሰጣቸውን ጸጋ የሚደብቁ ( ብርቱን ቅጣት ይቀጥጣሉ ) ፡ ፡ ለከሓዲዎችም አዋራጅን ቅጣት አዘጋጅተናል ፡ ፡

so that you would not grieve over what you have lost nor become too happy about what god has granted to you . god does not love the arrogant boastful ones who are niggardly and who try to make other people also niggardly .
( ይህ ማሳወቃችን ) ባመለጣችሁ ጸጋ ላይ እንዳታዝኑ አላህም በሰጣችሁ ነገር ( በትዕቢት ) እንዳትደሰቱ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም ኩራተኛን ጉረኛን ሁሉ አይወድም ፡ ፡

behold ! ye are those who are called to expend in the way of allah , then there are of you some who are niggardly . and whosoever is niggardly is niggardly only to himself .
ንቁ ! እናንተ እነዚያ በአላህ መንገድ ትለግሱ ዘንድ የምትጥጠሩ ናችሁ ፡ ፡ ከእናንተም ውስጥ የሚሰስት ሰው አልለ ፡ ፡ የሚሰስትም ሰው የሚሰስተው በራሱ ላይ ብቻ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህም ከበርቴ ነው ፡ ፡ እናንተም ድኾች ናችሁ ፡ ፡ ብትሸሹም ሌሎችን ሕዝቦች ይለውጣል ፡ ፡ ከዚያም ( ባለመታዘዝ ) ብጤዎቻችሁ አይኾኑም ፡ ፡

if he were to ask you for your possessions and press you ( in that regard ) , you would have grown niggardly , and allah would have brought your failings to light .
እርሷን ቢጠይቃችሁና ችክ ቢልባችሁ ትሰስታላችሁ ፡ ፡ ቂሞቻችሁንም ያወጣል ፡ ፡
