let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
ሴት በነገር ሁሉ እየተገዛች በዝግታ ትማር፤

when the qur 'an is recited listen to it in silence . you may perhaps be blessed .
ቁርኣንም በተነበበ ጊዜ እርሱን አዳምጡ ፡ ፡ ጸጥም በሉ ፡ ፡ ይታዘንላችኋልና ፡ ፡

when the koran is recited , listen to it in silence in order that allah has mercy upon you .
ቁርኣንም በተነበበ ጊዜ እርሱን አዳምጡ ፡ ፡ ጸጥም በሉ ፡ ፡ ይታዘንላችኋልና ፡ ፡

saying, the scribes and the pharisees sit in moses' seat:
ጻፎችና ፈሪሳውያን በሙሴ ወንበር ተቀምጠዋል።

we used to sit in its positions to eavesdrop , but anyone listening now finds a flame waiting for him .
‹ እኛም ከእርሷ ( ወሬን ) ለማደመጥ በመቀመጫዎች እንቀመጥ ነበርን ፡ ፡ አሁን ግን የሚያዳምጥ ሰው ለእርሱ ተጠባባቂ ችቦን ያገኛል ፡ ፡

to give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.
ብርሃኑም በጨለማና በሞት ጥላ ተቀምጠው ላሉት ያበራል እግሮቻችንንም በሰላም መንገድ ያቀናል።

he turned away from them and cried : " alas for joseph ! " and his eyes turned white with grief which he bore in silence .
ከእነሱም ዘወር አለናኣ « በዩሱፍ ላይ ዋ ሐዘኔ ! » አለ ፡ ፡ ዓይኖቹም ከሐዘን ( ለቅሶ ) የተነሳ ነጡ ፡ ፡ እርሱም በትካዜ የተመላ ነው ፡ ፡

said he , ' now , for thy perverting me , i shall surely sit in ambush for them on thy straight path ;
« ስለአጠመምከኝም ለእነርሱ በቀጥተኛው መንገድ ላይ በእርግጥ እቀመጥባቸዋለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

take not with allah another object of worship ; or thou ( o man ! ) wilt sit in disgrace and destitution .
ከአላህ ጋር ሌላን አምላክ አታድርግ የተወቀስክ ረዳት የሌለህ ትኾናለህና ፤

[ satan ] said , " because you have put me in error , i will surely sit in wait for them on your straight path .
« ስለአጠመምከኝም ለእነርሱ በቀጥተኛው መንገድ ላይ በእርግጥ እቀመጥባቸዋለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡

say , " whether you call on god or on the merciful one : his are the finest names . " pray neither in too loud a voice nor in silence , but between these two extremes .
« አላህን ጥሩ ፤ ወይም አልረሕማንን ጥሩ ፤ ( ከሁለቱ ) ማንኛውንም ብትጠሩ ( መልካም ነው ) ፡ ፡ ለእርሱ መልካም ስሞች አሉትና » በላቸው ፡ ፡ በስግደትህም ( ስታነብ ) አትጩህ ፡ ፡ በእርሷም ድምጽህን ዝቅ አታድርግ በዚህም መካከል መንገድን ፈልግ ፡ ፡

' do not sit in every road , threatening and barring from the path of allah those who believed it , nor seek to make it crooked . remember how he multiplied you when you were few in number .
« ( ሰዎችን ) የምታስፈራሩና ከአላህም መንገድ በእርሱ ያመኑትን የምታግዱ መጥመሟንም የምትፈልጉዋት ኾናችሁ በየመንገዱ አትቀመጡ ፡ ፡ ጥቂቶችም በነበራችሁና ባበዛችሁ ጊዜ አስታውሱ ፡ ፡ የአጥፊዎችም መጨረሻ እንዴት እንደነበረ ተመልከቱ ፡ ፡ »

yet when news of ( a daughter ) they had reserved for ar-rahman comes to one of them , his face is blackened ( with shame ) , and he grieves in silence inwardly .
አንዳቸውም ለአልረሕማን ምሳሌ ባደረገው ነገር ( በሴት ልጅ ) በተበሰረ ጊዜ እርሱ በቁጭት የተመላ ኾኖ ፊቱ የጠቆረ ይኾናል ፡ ፡

( iblis ) said : " because you have sent me astray , surely i will sit in wait against them ( human beings ) on your straight path .
« ስለአጠመምከኝም ለእነርሱ በቀጥተኛው መንገድ ላይ በእርግጥ እቀመጥባቸዋለሁ » አለ ፡ ፡
