the lord said , " your request is granted
( አላህም ) አለ « አንተ ከሚቆዩት ነህ ፡ ፡

he said : your lord and the lord of your fathers .
( ሙሳ ) « ጌታችሁና የመጀመሪያዎቹ አባቶቻችሁም ጌታ ነው » አለው ፡ ፡

he said : your lord and the lord of your ancient fathers .
( ሙሳ ) « ጌታችሁና የመጀመሪያዎቹ አባቶቻችሁም ጌታ ነው » አለው ፡ ፡

he said , ‘ your lord , and the lord of your forefathers ! ’
( ሙሳ ) « ጌታችሁና የመጀመሪያዎቹ አባቶቻችሁም ጌታ ነው » አለው ፡ ፡

when you said to the believers : does it not suffice you that your lord should assist you with three thousand of the angels sent down ?
ለምእምናን « ጌታችሁ በሦስት ሺህ መላእክት የተወረዱ ሲኾኑ ቢረዳችሁ አይበቃችሁምን » በምትል ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

they said , " your omen is with yourselves . is it because you were reminded ?
« ገደ ቢስነታችሁ ከእናንተው ጋር ነው ፡ ፡ ብትገሰጹ ( ትዝታላችሁን ? ) በእውነቱ እናንተ ወሰን አላፊዎች ሕዝቦች ናችሁ » አሏቸው ፡ ፡

and recall when you said to the believers : ' will it not suffice you that your lord will aid you by sending down three thousand angels ?
ለምእምናን « ጌታችሁ በሦስት ሺህ መላእክት የተወረዱ ሲኾኑ ቢረዳችሁ አይበቃችሁምን » በምትል ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

remember when you said to the faithful : " is it not sufficient that your lord should send for your help three thousand angels from the heavens ?
ለምእምናን « ጌታችሁ በሦስት ሺህ መላእክት የተወረዱ ሲኾኑ ቢረዳችሁ አይበቃችሁምን » በምትል ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

[ allah ] said , " your supplication has been answered . " so remain on a right course and follow not the way of those who do not know . "
( አላህም ) « ጸሎታችሁ በእርግጥ ተሰምታለች ፡ ፡ ቀጥም በሉ ፡ ፡ የእነዚያንም የማያውቁትን ሰዎች መንገድ አትከተሉ » አላቸው ፡ ፡

[ and remember ] when you said to the believers , " does it not suffice that your lord helps you by sending down three thousand angels ?
ለምእምናን « ጌታችሁ በሦስት ሺህ መላእክት የተወረዱ ሲኾኑ ቢረዳችሁ አይበቃችሁምን » በምትል ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

[ remember ] when you said to the believers , " is it not sufficient for you that your lord should reinforce you with three thousand angels sent down ?
ለምእምናን « ጌታችሁ በሦስት ሺህ መላእክት የተወረዱ ሲኾኑ ቢረዳችሁ አይበቃችሁምን » በምትል ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

( moses ) said : " your lord and the lord of your fathers from the beginning ! "
( ሙሳ ) « ጌታችሁና የመጀመሪያዎቹ አባቶቻችሁም ጌታ ነው » አለው ፡ ፡

( moses ) said : your tryst shall be the day of the feast , and let the people assemble when the sun hath risen high .
« ቀጠሯችሁ በማጌጫው ቀን ሰዎቹም በረፋድ በሚሰበሰቡበት ነው » አለ ፡ ፡

' so be it between me and you ' said moses . ' whichever of the two terms i fulfill , it will be no injustice to me .
( ሙሳም ) « ይህ ( ውለታ ) በእኔና ባንተ መካከል ( ረጊ ) ነው ፡ ፡ ከሁለቱ ጊዜያቶች ማንኛውንም ብፈጽም በእኔ ላይ ወሰን ማለፍ የለም ፡ ፡ አላህም በምንለነው ላይ ምስክር » ነው አለ ፡ ፡

also , remember when you said to the believers , " is it not enough that your lord is helping you with a force of three thousand angels sent ( from the heavens ) ? "
ለምእምናን « ጌታችሁ በሦስት ሺህ መላእክት የተወረዱ ሲኾኑ ቢረዳችሁ አይበቃችሁምን » በምትል ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

" desist from pleading , o abraham , " ( they said ) . " your lord 's command has verily been issued , and a punishment that cannot be averted is bound to fall on them . "
« ኢብራሂም ሆይ ! ከዚህ ( ክርክር ) ተው ፡ ፡ እነሆ የጌታህ ትዕዛዝ በእርግጥ መጥቷል ፡ ፡ እነሱም የማይመለስ ቅጣት የሚመጣባቸው ናቸው » ( አሉት ) ፡ ፡
