( ይህ ) ጌታህ ባሪያውን ዘከሪያን በችሮታው ያወሳበት ነው ፡ ፡

and zechariah and john and jesus and elias - and all were of the righteous .
ዘከሪያንም ፣ የሕያንም ፣ ዒሳንም ፣ ኢልያስንም ( መራን ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ከመልካሞቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

[ this is ] a mention of the mercy of your lord to his servant zechariah
( ይህ ) ጌታህ ባሪያውን ዘከሪያን በችሮታው ያወሳበት ነው ፡ ፡

and zechariah , john , jesus and ilyas — each of them among the righteous —
ዘከሪያንም ፣ የሕያንም ፣ ዒሳንም ፣ ኢልያስንም ( መራን ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ከመልካሞቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

[ this is ] an account of your lord s mercy ’ on his servant , zechariah ,
( ይህ ) ጌታህ ባሪያውን ዘከሪያን በችሮታው ያወሳበት ነው ፡ ፡

and zechariah , and john , and jesus , and elias — every one of them was of the upright .
ዘከሪያንም ፣ የሕያንም ፣ ዒሳንም ፣ ኢልያስንም ( መራን ) ፡ ፡ ሁሉም ከመልካሞቹ ናቸው ፡ ፡

“ o zechariah , we give you good news of a son , whose name is john , a name we have never given before . ”
« ዘከሪያ ሆይ ! እኛ በወንድ ልጅ ስሙ የሕያ በኾነ ከዚህ በፊት ሞክሼን ባላደረግንለት እናበስርሃለን » ( አለው ) ፡ ፡

thereupon her lord graciously accepted mary and vouchsafed to her a goodly growth and placed her in the care of zechariah . whenever zechariah visited her in the sanctuary , he found her provided with food .
ጌታዋም በደህና አቀባበል ተቀበላት ፡ ፡ በመልካም አስተዳደግም አፋፋት ፡ ፡ ዘከሪያም አሳደጋት ፤ ዘከሪያ በርሷ ላይ በምኹራቧ በገባ ቁጥር እርስዋ ዘንድ ሲሳይን አገኘ ፡ ፡ « መርየም ሆይ ! ይህ ለአንቺ ከየት ነው » አላት ፡ ፡ « እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህ ለሚሻው ሰው ሲሳዩን ያለ ድካም ይሰጣል » አለችው ፡ ፡

and zechariah , when he called out to his lord , “ my lord , do not leave me alone , even though you are the best of heirs . ”
ዘከሪያንም « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ብቻዬን አትተወኝ ፡ ፡ አንተም ከወራሾች ሁሉ በላጭ ነህ ሲል » ጌታውን በተጣራ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

her lord accepted her with a gracious reception , and brought her a beautiful upbringing , and entrusted her to the care of zechariah . whenever zechariah entered upon her in the sanctuary , he found her with provision .
ጌታዋም በደህና አቀባበል ተቀበላት ፡ ፡ በመልካም አስተዳደግም አፋፋት ፡ ፡ ዘከሪያም አሳደጋት ፤ ዘከሪያ በርሷ ላይ በምኹራቧ በገባ ቁጥር እርስዋ ዘንድ ሲሳይን አገኘ ፡ ፡ « መርየም ሆይ ! ይህ ለአንቺ ከየት ነው » አላት ፡ ፡ « እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህ ለሚሻው ሰው ሲሳዩን ያለ ድካም ይሰጣል » አለችው ፡ ፡

thereupon her lord accepted her with a gracious acceptance , and made her grow up in a worthy fashion , and he charged zechariah with her care . whenever zechariah visited her in the sanctuary , he would find provisions with her .
ጌታዋም በደህና አቀባበል ተቀበላት ፡ ፡ በመልካም አስተዳደግም አፋፋት ፡ ፡ ዘከሪያም አሳደጋት ፤ ዘከሪያ በርሷ ላይ በምኹራቧ በገባ ቁጥር እርስዋ ዘንድ ሲሳይን አገኘ ፡ ፡ « መርየም ሆይ ! ይህ ለአንቺ ከየት ነው » አላት ፡ ፡ « እርሱ ከአላህ ዘንድ ነው ፡ ፡ አላህ ለሚሻው ሰው ሲሳዩን ያለ ድካም ይሰጣል » አለችው ፡ ፡

and we bestowed favour upon zechariah , when he cried to his lord : " lord ! leave me not solitary ( without any issue ) .
ዘከሪያንም « ጌታዬ ሆይ ! ብቻዬን አትተወኝ ፡ ፡ አንተም ከወራሾች ሁሉ በላጭ ነህ ሲል » ጌታውን በተጣራ ጊዜ ( አስታውስ ) ፡ ፡

( he was told ) : " zechariah , we bring you the good news of the birth of a son whose name shall be yahya ( john ) , one whose namesake we never created before . "
« ዘከሪያ ሆይ ! እኛ በወንድ ልጅ ስሙ የሕያ በኾነ ከዚህ በፊት ሞክሼን ባላደረግንለት እናበስርሃለን » ( አለው ) ፡ ፡
