then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
Ապա սատանան նրան թողեց. եւ ահա հրեշտակներ մօտեցան ու ծառայում էին նրան:

and when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.
Եւ սատանան կատարած լինելով բոլոր փորձութիւնները՝ նրանից միառժամանակ հեռու մնաց:

then the devil taketh him up into the holy city, and setteth him on a pinnacle of the temple,
Ապա սատանան նրան տարաւ սուրբ քաղաքը եւ կանգնեցրեց նրան տաճարի աշտարակի վրայ ու ասաց նրան.

and he said unto her, for this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
Եւ նա ասաց նրան. «Այդ խօսքիդ համար գնա՛, դեւը քո աղջկանից դուրս ելաւ»:

and the devil said unto him, if thou be the son of god, command this stone that it be made bread.
Եւ սատանան նրան ասաց. «Եթէ Աստծու Որդի ես, այդ քարին ասա՛, որ հաց լինի»:

and they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil, and also concerning the swine.
Եւ ովքեր որ տեսել էին, պատմեցին նրանց, թէ ինչ պատահեց այսահարին եւ ինչ՝ խոզերին:

and jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.
Այն ժամանակ աշակերտները, առանձին, մօտեցան եւ Յիսուսին ասացին. «Մենք ինչո՞ւ այն հանել չկարողացանք»:

the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
եւ թշնամին, որ այն ցանեց, սատանան է. իսկ հունձը այս աշխարհի վախճանն է, եւ հնձողները հրեշտակներ են:

the woman was a greek, a syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
Այս կինը հեթանոս էր, փիւնիկ-ասորի ազգից. աղաչում էր նրան, որ իր աղջկանից դեւը հանի:

being forty days tempted of the devil. and in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
ու քառասուն օր փորձուեց սատանայից: Չկերաւ եւ չխմեց այն օրերին. եւ երբ քառասուն օրերը լրացան, քաղց զգաց:

again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
Սատանան նորից նրան առաւ տարաւ մի շատ բարձր լերան վրայ եւ ցոյց տուեց նրան աշխարհի բոլոր թագաւորութիւններն ու դրանց փառքը եւ նրան ասաց.

those by the way side are they that hear; then cometh the devil, and taketh away the word out of their hearts, lest they should believe and be saved.
Որոնք որ ճանապարհի եզերքին են, այդ նրանք են, որ լսում են, եւ ապա սատանան գալիս հանում է խօսքը նրանց սրտից, որպէսզի չհաւատան եւ չփրկուեն:

and he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb. and it came to pass, when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake; and the people wondered.
Եւ Յիսուս մի համր դեւ էր հանում. եւ երբ դեւը ելաւ, համրը խօսեց. եւ ամբողջ ժողովուրդը զարմացաւ:

and jesus rebuked him, saying, hold thy peace, and come out of him. and when the devil had thrown him in the midst, he came out of him, and hurt him not.
Յիսուս սաստեց նրան եւ ասաց. «Պապանձուի՛ր եւ դո՛ւրս ելիր դրանից»: Դեւը մէջտեղում գետին զարկեց նրան եւ դուրս ելաւ նրանից ու որեւէ վնաս չտուեց նրան:

and they come to jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.
Եկան Յիսուսի մօտ եւ տեսան դիւահարին, որ նստել էր՝ հագնուած եւ զգաստացած, նրան, որ լեգէոն ունէր. եւ զարհուրեցին:

but some of them said, he casteth out devils through beelzebub the chief of the devils.
Եւ նրանցից ոմանք ասացին. «Դա դեւերին հանում է դեւերի իշխան Բէեղզեբուղի միջոցով»:

and all the devils besought him, saying, send us into the swine, that we may enter into them.
Բոլոր դեւերը աղաչեցին նրան եւ ասացին. «Մեզ խոզերի մէջ ուղարկիր, որ մտնենք նրանց մէջ»:

and the seventy returned again with joy, saying, lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name.
Եօթանասուներկուսը վերադարձան խնդութեամբ եւ ասացին. «Տէ՛ր, դեւերն էլ են մեզ հնազանդւում քո անունով»:

and they that kept them fled, and went their ways into the city, and told every thing, and what was befallen to the possessed of the devils.
Իսկ խոզարածները փախան եւ քաղաք գնալով՝ պատմեցին ամէն ինչ, նաեւ՝ դիւահարների դէպքը:

(for he had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. for oftentimes it had caught him: and he was kept bound with chains and in fetters; and he brake the bands, and was driven of the devil into the wilderness.)
որովհետեւ Յիսուս հրաման էր տալիս պիղծ ոգուն, որ դուրս գայ այդ մարդուց, քանի որ շատ անգամ տիրացել էր նրան, եւ նա կապւում էր շղթաներով, պահւում էր երկաթների մէջ, բայց կոտրում էր կապանքները եւ դեւից քշւում էր անբնակ վայրեր:
