ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဣသရေလအမျိုး၏ ရန်သူ တို့ကို တိုက်တော်မူကြောင်းကို၊ အခြားတိုင်းနိုင်ငံသား ရှိသမျှတို့သည် ကြား၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်ကို ကြောက်ရွံ့ကြ၏။

but many that are first shall be last; and the last first.
နောက်ကျသောသူအများတို့သည် အရင်ကျကြလိမ့်မည်။ အရင်ကျကြသောသူအများတို့သည် နောက် ကျကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

တမန်တော်တို့သည် အထံတော်သို့ပြန်လာ၍ မိမိတို့ပြုသမျှတို့ကို ကြားလျှောက်ကြ၏။ ကိုယ်တော် သည် သူတို့ကိုခေါ်၍၊ ဗက်ဇဲဒမြို့နယ်အတွင်း တော၌ဆိတ်ကွယ်ရာအရပ်သို့ကြွတော်မူ၏။ လူအစုအဝေးတို့ သည် သိလျှင် နောက်တော်သို့ လိုက်ကြ၏။

တဖန် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသည် ထာဝရဘုရားရှေ့တော်၌ ဒုစရိုက်ကို ပြုသောကြောင့်၊ မောဘရှင်ဘုရင် ဧဂလုန်ကို ဣသရေလအမျိုးတဘက်၌ ခွန်အားနှင့် ပြည့်စုံစေတော်မူ၏။

and when they had brought them, they set them before the council: and the high priest asked them,
ထိုသို့ခေါ်ဆောင်ပြီးလျှင်၊ လွှတ်အရာရှိတို့ ရှေ့မှာထား၍ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်းက၊

and all the spoil of these cities, and the cattle, the children of israel took for a prey unto themselves; but every man they smote with the edge of the sword, until they had destroyed them, neither left they any to breathe.
ထိုမြို့များ၌ လက်ရဥစ္စာနှင့် တိရစ္ဆာန်ရှိသမျှတို့ ကို ဣသရေလလူတို့သည် ကိုယ်အဘို့ သိမ်းယူကြ၏။ လူတို့ကို မဖျက်ဆီးမှီတိုင်အောင် ရှိသမျှတို့ကို ထားနှင့် လုပ်ကြံကြ၏။ တယောက်ကိုမျှ အရှင်မကျန်ကြွင်းစေကြ။

and when i saw him, i fell at his feet as dead. and he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, fear not; i am the first and the last:
ထိုသူကိုငါမြင်သောအခါ၊ သေမတတ်ဖြစ်၍ ခြေတော်ရင်း၌ လဲလျက်နေ၏။ ထိုသူသည်လက်ျာ လက်ထောက်ကို ငါ့အပေါ်သို့ တင်လျက်၊ ကြောက်ရွံ့ ခြင်းမရှိနှင့်။ ငါသည်အဦးဆုံးသောသူ၊ နောက်ဆုံးသော သူဖြစ်၏။

and the children of israel said, who is there among all the tribes of israel that came not up with the congregation unto the lord? for they had made a great oath concerning him that came not up to the lord to mizpeh, saying, he shall surely be put to death.
ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ကလည်း၊ ဣသရေလအမျိုးအနွယ်အပေါင်းတို့တွင် အဘယ်သူသည် ပရိ သတ်အပေါင်းနှင့်အတူ ထာဝရဘုရားထံတော်သို့ မလာဘဲနေသနည်းဟု မေးကြ၏။ အကြောင်း မူကား၊ မိဇပါမြို့ထာဝရဘုရားထံတော်သို့ မလာဘဲ နေသောသူသည် ဧကန်အမှန် အသေသတ်ခြင်းကို ခံစေဟု ကြီးစွာသော ကျိန်ဆိုခြင်းကို ပြုနှင့်ကြပြီ။

and the manna ceased on the morrow after they had eaten of the old corn of the land; neither had the children of israel manna any more; but they did eat of the fruit of the land of canaan that year.
ခါနာန်ပြည် စပါးကို စား၍၊ နက်ဖြန်နေ့၌ မနွ ပြတ်လေ၏။ နောက်တဖန် ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့ သည် မနွကိုမရကြ။ ထိုနှစ်တွင် ခါနာန်ပြည်၌ဖြစ်သော အသီးအနှံ့ကို စားရကြ၏။

and when absalom's servants came to the woman to the house, they said, where is ahimaaz and jonathan? and the woman said unto them, they be gone over the brook of water. and when they had sought and could not find them, they returned to jerusalem.
အဗရှလုံ၏ ကျွန်တို့သည်ထိုအိမ်သို့ရောက်၍ အဟိမတ်နှင့်ယောနသန်တို့သည် အဘယ်မှာရှိသနည်းဟု မိန်းမအားမေးလျှင်၊ မိန်းမက၊ ချောင်းတဘက်သို့ ကူးကြပြီဟု ပြောသဖြင့် သူတို့သည် ရှာ၍မတွေ့သောအခါ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့သို့ပြန်သွားကြ၏။
