and in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them.

and will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies?
မုယောဆန်တလက်ဆွန်းနှင့်မုန့်တဖဲ့ကို ရအံ့ သောငှါ၊ ငါ၏လူတို့တွင် ငါ့ကိုရှုတ်ချကြလိမ့်မည်လော။ မုသာစကားကို နားထောင်တတ်သော ငါ၏လူတို့အား မုသာစကားကို ပြောသောအားဖြင့်၊ မသေအပ်သော သူတို့၏ အသက်ကိုသတ်၍၊ မရှင်အပ်သောသူတို့ကို အသက်ချမ်းသာပေးကြလိမ့်မည်လော။

and it came to pass, when the sun did arise, that god prepared a vehement east wind; and the sun beat upon the head of jonah, that he fainted, and wished in himself to die, and said, it is better for me to die than to live.
နေထွက်သောအခါ ဘုရားသခင်သည် အလွန်ပူ သောအရှေ့လေကို ပြင်ဆင်တော်မူ၍၊ ယောန၏ခေါင်းကို နေထိခိုက်သဖြင့် သူသည် မော၍ သေချင်သောစိတ်ရှိ လျက်၊ ငါ့အသက်သေခြင်းသည် ရှင်ခြင်းထက် သာ၍ ကောင်းသည်ဟု မြည်တမ်းလေ၏။

and the king sent and called for shimei, and said unto him, did i not make thee to swear by the lord, and protested unto thee, saying, know for a certain, on the day thou goest out, and walkest abroad any wither, that thou shalt surely die? and thou saidst unto me, the word that i have heard is good.
ရှိမိကို ခေါ်ပြီးလျှင်၊ သင်သည် မြို့ပြင်သို့ ထွက် ၍ အခြားတပါးသော အရပ်သို့သွားလျှင်၊ သွားသောနေ့၌ အသေသတ်ခြင်းအမှန်ခံရမည်ကို သတိနှင့်မှတ်လော့ဟု ထာဝရဘုရားကိုတိုင်တည်လျက် သင့်ကို ငါကျိန်ဆိုစေ၍ သတိပေးသည်မဟုတ်လော။ သင်ကလည်း ကျွန်တော် ကြားရသော အမိန့်တော်ကောင်းပါသည်ဟု ဝန်ခံသည် မဟုတ်လော။

then said i, i will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
နောက်တဖန် သင်တို့ကို ငါမကျွေး။ သေသော အကောင်သည် သေပါလေစေ။ အသတ်ခံရသော အကောင်သည် ခံရပါလေစေ။ ကျန်ကြွင်းသောအကောင် တို့သည် တကောင်ကိုတကောင် စားပါလေစေဟု ငါဆို လျက်၊

and moses said unto aaron, and unto eleazar and unto ithamar, his sons, uncover not your heads, neither rend your clothes; lest ye die, and lest wrath come upon all the people: but let your brethren, the whole house of israel, bewail the burning which the lord hath kindled.
