လူနှစ်ဦးသည် သဘောမတူလျှင်၊ ပေါင်းဘော်၍ ခရီးသွားနိုင်သလော။

နောက်မှ၊ ထိုသူကို ခြေနင်းချွတ်ရသော အမျိုးဟူ၍ ဣသရေလအမျိုး၌ ခေါ်ဝေါ်သမုတ်ရမည်။

အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်သားတို့သည် တုရုမြို့သိတင်းကို ကြားသောအခါ၊ ထိုသိတင်းကြောင့် အလွန်စိတ်ပူပန်ခြင်း သို့ ရောက်ကြလိမ့်မည်။

ငါ့အိမ်ကို ဆုတောင်းရာအိမ်ဟူ၍ ခေါ်ဝေါ်ကြလတံ့ဟု ကျမ်းစာ၌လာသော်လည်း၊ သင်တို့သည် ထို အိမ်ကို ထားပြတွင်းဖြစ်စေကြပြီတကားဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

ခရစ်တော်ကို နာဇရက်လူဟုခေါ်ဝေါ်ကြလတံ့ဟူသော ပရောဖက်တို့၏ နှုတ်ထွက်နှင့်အညီ၊ နာဇရက် အမည်ရှိသောမြို့သို့ရောက်၍ အမြဲနေလေ၏။

လူကလည်း၊ ယခု ဤသူသည်ငါ့အရိုးထဲကအရိုး၊ ငါ့အသားထဲက အသားဖြစ်၏။ လူထဲက ထုတ်သော ကြောင့် သူ့ကိုလူမိန်းမဟု ခေါ်ဝေါ်အပ်သည်ဟု ဆိုလေ၏။

and god said unto him, thy name is jacob: thy name shall not be called any more jacob, but israel shall be thy name: and he called his name israel.
သင်သည် ယခုယာကုပ်အမည်ရှိ၏။ နောင်၌ သင်၏အမည်ကို ယာကုပ်ဟူ၍မခေါ်ရ။ ဣသရေလဟူ ၍ ခေါ်ရမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူလျက် ဣသရေလအမည်ဖြင့် သမုတ်တော်မူ၏။

သင်၏ရဲတိုက်ရှိသမျှတို့သည် ရှေ့ဦးစွာ မှည့် သော အသီးကို သီးသော သင်္ဘောသဖန်းပင်နှင့် တူကြ လိမ့်မည်။ လှုပ်လျှင် စားချင်သောသူ၏ ပစပ်ထဲသို့ ကျလိမ့်မည်။

and he brought him to jesus. and when jesus beheld him, he said, thou art simon the son of jona: thou shalt be called cephas, which is by interpretation, a stone.
