then the lord rained upon sodom and upon gomorrah brimstone and fire from the lord out of heaven;
ထိုအခါ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ကောင်းကင်ထက်၊ အထံတော်မှ သောဒုံမြို့နှင့် ဂေါမောရမြို့အပေါ်သို့ ကန့်နှင့် မီးမိုဃ်းကို ရွာစေတော်မူ၏။

and they took all the goods of sodom and gomorrah, and all their victuals, and went their way.
အောင်သောမင်းတို့သည်၊ သောဒုံမြို့နှင့် ဂေါမောရမြို့၌ ရှိသမျှသော ဥစ္စာနှင့် မြို့ရိက္ခာ ရှိသမျှတို့ကို ယူ၍သွားကြ၏။

and the lord said, because the cry of sodom and gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;

သောဒုံမြို့ကို အစိုးရသောမင်းတို့၊ ထာဝရ ဘုရား၏ နှုတ်ကပတ်တော်ကို ကြားကြလော့။ ဂေါမောရမြို့သားတို့၊ ငါတို့ဘုရားသခင်၏ တရား တော်ကို နားထောင်ကြလော့။

except the lord of hosts had left unto us a very small remnant, we should have been as sodom, and we should have been like unto gomorrah.
ကောင်းကင်ဗိုလ်ခြေ အရှင်ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ငါတို့ ၌အနည်းငယ်မျှ ကြွင်းစေတော်မမူလျှင်၊ ငါတို့သည် သောဒုံမြို့ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်၍ ဂေါမောရမြို့နှင့် တူကြပြီ။

and babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the chaldees' excellency, shall be as when god overthrew sodom and gomorrah.

and the vale of siddim was full of slimepits; and the kings of sodom and gomorrah fled, and fell there; and they that remained fled to the mountain.

as god overthrew sodom and gomorrah and the neighbour cities thereof, saith the lord; so shall no man abide there, neither shall any son of man dwell therein.
သောဒုံမြို့နှင့်ဂေါမောရမြို့မှစ၍ နီးဆပ်သော မြို့များကို ဘုရားသခင်ဖျက်ဆီးတော်မူသဖြင့် လူဆိတ်ညံ သကဲ့သို့၊ ဗာဗုလုန်မြို့၌ အဘယ်သူမျှမနေရ၊ လူသားတစုံ တယောက်မျှနေရာမကျရဟု၊ ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော် မူ၏။

and he looked toward sodom and gomorrah, and toward all the land of the plain, and beheld, and, lo, the smoke of the country went up as the smoke of a furnace.
သောဒုံမြို့နှင့် ဂေါမောရမြို့မှ စသောချိုင့် အရပ်တရှောက်လုံးကို ကြည့်ရှု၍၊ မီးဖို၌ အခိုးကဲ့သို့၊ တပြည်လုံးအခိုးတက်သည်ကို မြင်လေ၏။

and lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the lord destroyed sodom and gomorrah, even as the garden of the lord, like the land of egypt, as thou comest unto zoar.
