and there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,
yella di lǧameɛ-nni yiwen n wergaz i gezdeɣ uṛuḥani, yebda yețɛeggiḍ yeqqaṛ :

but when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
mi t-walan ileḥḥu ɣef waman, nwan-t d lexyal, bdan țɛeggiḍen,

for they have refreshed my spirit and yours: therefore acknowledge ye them that are such.
axaṭer hednen ul-iw d wulawen nwen. ilaq a nissin a nefk lqima i yergazen am wigi.

this i say then, walk in the spirit, and ye shall not fulful the lust of the flesh.
ddut ihi s lebɣi n ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, iwakken ur txeddmem ara lebɣi n tnefsit-nwen.

and when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, it is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
akken i t-walan ileḥḥu ɣef waman, inelmaden-is xelɛen qqaṛen : d lexyal ! bbdan țɛeggiḍen s lxuf.

and the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto israel.
aqcic-nni ițțimɣuṛ yețnerni di leɛqel. iɛac deg unezṛuf armi d ass i deg i d-ibeggen iman-is i wat isṛail.

and on my servants and on my handmaidens i will pour out in those days of my spirit; and they shall prophesy:
anɛam, deg ussan-nni a d-smireɣ ṛṛuḥ-iw ɣef yiqeddacen-iw ț-țqeddacin-iw, a d-ciren s wayen ara sen-d-țxebbiṛeɣ.

and immediately i was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and one sat on the throne.
imiren kan irfed-iyi ṛṛuḥ n sidi ṛebbi. walaɣ yiwen ukersi n lḥekma deg igenni, win yeqqimen fell-as, yețfeǧǧiǧ am iɛeqcan ɣlayen iwumi qqaṛen azṛu n jasb akk-d sardwan. tislit n wanẓar tezzi-yas-d i ukersi-nni n lḥekma tețfeǧǧiǧ am tizegzewt n wezṛu n zemṛud.

and my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the spirit and of power:
ayen i wen-slemdeɣ d wayen i wen-beccṛeɣ ur yebni ara ɣef tmusni n wemdan, lameɛna d ayen yebnan ɣef tezmert n ṛṛuḥ iqedsen.

and as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tare him. and jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.
akken i d-iqeṛṛeb weqcic-nni, aṛuḥani isseglallez-it di lqaɛa armi i d-țeffɣent tkufta seg yimi-s. sidna Ɛisa yefka lameṛ i uṛuḥani-nni iwakken a t-iffeɣ. aqcic-nni yeḥla, sidna Ɛisa yerra-t i baba-s.

but the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth: for the father seeketh such to worship him.
lameɛna iteddu-d lweqt yerna yewweḍ-ed, anda lmumnin n ṣṣeḥ ad ɛebbden baba ṛebbi s ṛṛuḥ, s tideț, axaṭer d lmumnin-agi n ṣṣeḥ i gebɣa baba ṛebbi.

but he is a jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of god.
meɛna mmi-s n wat isṛail n tideț, d win i t-yellan deg ul-ines, ṭṭhaṛa n ṣṣeḥ d ayen ixeddem ṛṛuḥ iqedsen deg ul n wemdan, mačči ț-țin ixeddem wemdan s ccariɛa. amdan am-agi, d sidi ṛebbi i t-ițɛuzzun mačči d imdanen.

and he sighed deeply in his spirit, and saith, why doth this generation seek after a sign? verily i say unto you, there shall no sign be given unto this generation.
sidna Ɛisa yerra-d nnehta, yenna : acuɣer i yi-d-ssuturen lbeṛhan yemdanen n lǧil-agi ? s tideț aql-i nniɣ-awen : d lmuḥal a s-d-ițunefk lbeṛhan i lǧil-agi !

and he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.
iɛeggeḍ s ṣṣut ɛlayen yenna : teɣli ! teɣli temdint-nni tameqqrant n babilun ! tuɣal ț-țamezduɣt n ccwaṭen, d amkan anda țnejmaɛen leṛwaḥ imeɛfan, anda xeddmen leɛcuc-nsen leṭyuṛ iɛefnen.

and of the angels he saith, who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
yenna-d daɣen ɣef lmalayekkat : yesseqdac lmalayekkat-is am aḍu, iqeddacen-is am uḥeǧǧaǧu n tmes .

and certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, mary called magdalene, out of whom went seven devils,
ddant daɣen kra n tilawin i gesseḥla si lehlakat-nsent, tid iwumi yessufeɣ leǧnun. tella gar-asent meryem iwumi qqaṛen tamagdalit ițwasellken si sebɛa leǧnun,

and they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, what thing is this? what new doctrine is this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.
lɣaci meṛṛa xelɛen, wa yeqqaṛ i wa : d acu-t wayagi ? d acu-t uselmed-agi ajdid yesɛan lhiba ? argaz-agi yeḥkem ula ɣef yiṛuḥaniyen yerna țțaɣen-as awal !
