he said unto him, what is written in the law? how readest thou?
sidna Ɛisa yerra-yas : d acu yuran di ccariɛa n musa ? d acu i tfehmeḍ deg-s mi ț-teɣriḍ ?

and he asked him, what is thy name? and he answered, saying, my name is legion: for we are many.
yesteqsa-t yenna-yas : isem-ik ? yerra-yas-d : isem-iw tarbaɛt, axaṭer deg waṭas yid-nneɣ i nella.

and what is the exceeding greatness of his power to usward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
aț-țwalim tazmert-is tameqqrant i ɣ-d-ibeggen i nukni s wid yumnen yis.

and he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of god.
imiren sidi ṛebbi yessnen ulawen, yeẓra d acu i gessutur ṛṛuḥ iqedsen, imi s lebɣi n sidi ṛebbi i gdeɛɛu ɣef wid yextaṛ.

ur țɛanadet ara lǧil-agi n tura, meɛna ǧǧet sidi ṛebbi ad ibeddel ixemmimen-nwen d lɛeqliya-nwen iwakken aț-țissinem lebɣi-ines : ayen yelhan, ayen yeṣfan ur nesɛi lɛib, d wayen akk i t-iɛeǧben.

and when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, what is it, lord? and he said unto him, thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before god.
