이리하여 너희가 등위에서 안정하고 너희가 그곳에 안전하게 앉아 있을 때 너희 주님을 염원하 며 저희가 그렇게 할 수 없는 것 을 저희에게 순종케 하여 주신 그분께 영광이 있으소서 라고 말 하고

said he, “rather, their chief may have done it; so question them, if they can speak.”
그가 말하길 아마도 그들 가운데 두목이 그랬으리라 그들이 말을 할 수 있다면 물어보라 하였더라

and if we willed we could have taken away the revelations which we have sent to you – you would then not find anyone who could advocate for you before us for this.
하나님이 원하사 하나님이 그대에게 계시한 것을 거두어 갈 수 있나니 그때에 그대는 보호할 어느 것도 발견치 못하리라

and the king shall answer and say unto them, verily i say unto you, inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
임 금 이 대 답 하 여 가 라 사 대 내 가 진 실 로 너 희 에 게 이 르 노 니 너 희 가 여 기 내 형 제 중 에 지 극 히 작 은 자 하 나 에 게 한 것 이 곧 내 게 한 것 이 니 라 하 시

and if an entry were made upon them from the outlying parts of it, then they were asked to wage war, they would certainly have done it, and they would not have stayed in it but a little while.
적이 곳곳으로부터 침입하여들어와 무슬림들을 살해하라는 요 청을 받았을 때 그들은 그렇게 하는데 지체하지 않했더라

그리하여 각 예언자를 위해서도 인간과 영마 가운데서 사탄 을 두었으니 그들은 서로가 서로 를 기만하여 거짓을 조성하더라 그대의 주님께서 뜻이 있었다면 그들은 그렇지 아니했으리라 그러 하매 그들이 거짓한 대로 두라 하 셨노라

hast thou not heard long ago how i have done it, and of ancient times that i have formed it? now have i brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps.
네 가 듣 지 못 하 였 느 냐 이 일 은 내 가 태 초 부 터 행 하 였 고 상 고 부 터 정 한 바 라 이 제 내 가 이 루 어 너 로 견 고 한 성 들 을 멸 하 여 돌 무 더 기 가 되 게 함 이 니

and had we decreed for them to slay themselves or to leave their homes and families, only a few of them would have done it; and if they did what they are advised to, it would be good for them, and would have strengthened faith.
너희 자신들을 희생하라 또 는 너희 거주지를 떠나라고 하나 님이 이들 위선자들에게 명령 했 을 때 그들은 소수를 제외하고는 그렇게 행하지 아니했더라 만일 그들이 충고 받은대로 행하였다면 그것은 그들에게 더욱 좋았으리라 또한 그들의 신앙이 더욱 충만했 으리라

and if we had decreed for them: lay down your lives or go forth from your dwellings, but few of them would have done it; though if they did what they are exhorted to do it would be better for them, and more strengthening;
너희 자신들을 희생하라 또 는 너희 거주지를 떠나라고 하나 님이 이들 위선자들에게 명령 했 을 때 그들은 소수를 제외하고는 그렇게 행하지 아니했더라 만일 그들이 충고 받은대로 행하였다면 그것은 그들에게 더욱 좋았으리라 또한 그들의 신앙이 더욱 충만했 으리라

likewise, their idols entice many idolaters to kill their children, in order to lead them to their ruin, and confuse them in their religion. had god willed, they would not have done it; so leave them to their fraud.
또 그들이 믿는 신과 우상 은 불신자들로 하여금 그들의 자 손들을 살생하는것 까지도 훌륭한 것이라 유혹했으니 이는 그들로 하여금 그들 스스로를 멸망케 하 고 그들의 종교를 혼란케 하고자 함이라 하나님께서 뜻을 두셨다면 그들이 그렇게 행하지 아니했을 것이라 그러나 그들을 그리고 그 들이 날조한 대로 두라

(muhammad), if their refusal of the faith is so grievous to you and if you can dig up the earth or ascend into the sky in search of further evidence to inevitably make them believe you, you should have done so, but note that had god wanted, he could have made them all follow the same guidance. do not ever be unaware (of this fact).
그들의 거역함이 그대의 마 음을 아프게 하였다면 땅으로는 돌출구를 하늘로는 사다리를 구할수 있게하여 그들에게 예증이 되 도록 하리라 또한 하나님의 뜻이 있었다면 그들 모두를 복음으로 인도하셨으리라 그래서 그대는 우매한 자들 가운데 있지 말라 하였노라
