so for one who gave and practised piety
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންގެ عمل ތައް ތަފާތުވެގެންވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

and we saved those who believed and practised righteousness.
އަދި إيمان ވެ تقوى ވެރިކަންމަތީ އުޅުނުމީހުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ސަލާމަތްކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

thus the truth was upheld, and the falsehood that they practised was exposed.
ފަހެ، حق ތެދު ފާޅުވެއްޖެއެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ކޮށްއުޅުނު ކަންތައް باطل ވެގެން ހިނގައްޖެއެވެ.

yes, why not? whoever fulfilled his pledge and practised piety – and indeed allah loves the pious.
އެހެންނަކުންނޫނެވެ! އެމީހެއްގެ عهد އެމީހަކު ފުރިހަމަޔަށް އަދާކޮށް، تقوى ވެރިވެއްޖެމީހާ (ދަންނާށެވެ!) ފަހެ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، تقوى ވެރިންދެކެ اللَّه ލޯބިވެވޮޑިގެންވެެތެވެ.

had they believed in allah and practised piety, they would have received a far better reward from aiiah, if they had but known it.
ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެން إيمان ވެ تقوى ވެރިވިނަމަ، اللَّه ގެ حضرة ން (އެއުރެންނަށް) ހުރި ثواب ގެ ހެޔޮކަން މާބޮޑެވެ. އެއުރެން އެކަން ދަންނަ ކަމުގައިވި ނަމައެވެ.

for them will be a home of peace in the presence of their lord: he will be their friend, because they practised (righteousness).
އެއުރެންގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ حضرة ގައި، އަމާންކަމުގެ ގޮވަތި (ކަމުގައިވާ ސުވަރުގެ) އެއުރެންނަށް ހުށްޓެވެ. އަދި އެކަލާނގެއީ، އެއުރެން ކޮށްއުޅުނު عمل ތަކުގެ ސަބަބުން، އެއުރެންނަށް نصر ދެއްވާ، ވާގިދެއްވާ ރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.

and because they practised usury although it had been forbidden them; and for using others' wealth unjustly. for those who are unbelievers among them we have reserved a painful punishment.
އަދި، އެއުރެންނަށް އެކަންތައް ނަހީކުރައްވާފައިވާ حال ގައި، އެއުރެން رِبا ހިިފިކަމުގެ ސަބަބުންނެވެ. އަދި، މީސްތަކުންގެ މުދާތައް باطل ގޮތުގައި އެއުރެން ކެއުމުގެ ސަބަބުންނެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ތެރެއިން كافر ކަމުގައި ދެމިތިބިމީހުންނަށް، ވޭންދެނިވި عذاب ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ތައްޔާރުކުރެއްވީމެވެ.

and to lut, too, we gave judgment and knowledge, and we saved him from the town which practised abominations: truly they were a people given to evil, a rebellious people.
لوط ގެފާނަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حكمة ތެރިކަމާއި، علم ދެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ނުބައި ފާފަތައް ކޮށްއުޅުނު ރަށުގެ (މީހުންގެ) ކިބައިން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެކަލޭގެފާނު ސަލާމަތްކުރެއްވީމެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެއުރެންވީ، ނުބައިކަމުގެ أهل ވެރި، فاسق ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައެވެ.

now such were their houses, - in utter ruin, - because they practised wrong-doing. verily in this is a sign for people of knowledge.
ފަހެ، އެހުރީ އެއުރެންގެ އަނިޔާވެރިކަމުގެ ސަބަބުން ވީރާނާވެފައިވާ އެއުރެންގެ ގޯތިގެދޮރެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަންތަކުގައި ދަންނަ ބަޔަކަށް ހެކިތަކެއްވާކަން ކަށަވަރެވެ.

allah has not instituted things like bahirah (a she-camel whose milk was spared for the idols and nobody was allowed to milk it) or a sa'ibah (a she-camel let loose for free pasture for their false gods, e.g. idols, etc., and nothing was allowed to be carried on it), or a wasilah (a she-camel set free for idols because it has given birth to a she-camel at its first delivery and then again gives birth to a she-camel at its second delivery) or a ham (a stallion-camel freed from work for their idols, after it had finished a number of copulations assigned for it, all these animals were liberated in honour of idols as practised by pagan arabs in the pre-islamic period). but those who disbelieve invent lies against allah, and most of them have no understanding.
بحيرة އާއި، ساءِبة އާއި، وصيلة އާއި، حامى އާއި، މިތަކެތި حرمة ތެރި ތަކެތި ކަމުގައި اللَّه ލައްވައިފައެއް ނުވެއެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، كافر ވި މީހުން اللَّه އާމެދު ދޮގުތައް ހަދައި އުޅެތެވެ. އަދި އޭގެތެރެއިން ގިނަމީހުންނަކަށް ނުވިސްނެއެވެ. (ނޯޓު: بحـيرة އާއި، ساءِبة އާއި، وصيلة އާއި، حامى އާއި، މި ތަކެއްޗަކީ ޖާހިލީ ޒަމާނުގައި، عربى ން އަޅުކަންކޮށްއުޅުނު ބުދުތަކަށްޓަކައި، نعم ސޫފީގެ ތެރެއިން، މިނަންތަކުން خاص ކޮށްފައިވާ ތަކެއްޗެވެ.)
