އަދި لوط ބާގައިމީހުންގެ ރަށް ބަންޑުންޖައްސަވައި ވައްޓަވައިލެއްވިއެވެ.

in truth thy lord destroyed not the townships tyrannously while their folk were doing right.
ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން ރަނގަޅަށް ކަންތައްކުރާ ބަޔަކު ކަމުގައިވަނިކޮށް، އަނިޔާވެރިގޮތުގައި އެ ރަށްތައް ހަލާކު ކުރެއްވުމަކަށް، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ އިރާދައެއް ނުކުރައްވަތެވެ.

we have destroyed many townships around you, and diversified the signs, so that they may return.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ރަށްތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވަށައިގެންވާ ތަންތަން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حجّة ތައް ތަފާތުގޮތްގޮތަށް ބަޔާންކޮށްދެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ ތެދުމަގަށް) އެއުރެން އެނބުރި رجوع ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and we indeed destroyed townships surrounding you, and brought several signs so that they may desist.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ރަށްތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވަށައިގެންވާ ތަންތަން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حجّة ތައް ތަފާތުގޮތްގޮތަށް ބަޔާންކޮށްދެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ ތެދުމަގަށް) އެއުރެން އެނބުރި رجوع ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

all the townships afflicted with scourge are before your eyes. when they committed wrong, we destroyed them.
އަދި އެއީ އެއުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިވީހިނދު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކު ކުރެއްވި ރަށްތަކުގެ މީހުންނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ހަލާކުވެދިއުމަށް ކަނޑައެޅިގެންވާ ވަގުތެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލެއްވީމެވެ.

are the people of the townships then secure that our wrath would not come upon them at night while they are slumbering?
ފަހެ، ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން އެއުރެން ރޭގަނޑުގައި ނިދާފައިތިއްބައި އެއުރެންގެ ގާތަށް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ކޯފާގެ عذاب އަތުވެދާނެކަމާމެދު (ބިރެއްނެތި) أمان ވެ ތިބީހެއްޔެވެ؟

they will not fight against you together except in fortified townships or from behind walls. their fierceness is great only within themselves.
ރައްކާތެރި ކުރައްވާފައިވާ ރަށްތަކެއްގައި ތިބެގެން، ނުވަތަ ފާރުތަކެއްގެ ނިވަލުގައި ތިބެގެން މެނުވީ، އެއުރެން އެންމެން އެކުގައި (ނުކުމެ) ތިޔަބައިމީހުންނަކާ ހަނގުރާމައެއް ނުކުރާނެތެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ މެދުގައި ހިނގާ ހަނގުރާމަ ގަދަފަދަ ވެގެންވެއެވެ. އެއުރެންގެ ހިތްތައް ބައިބައިވެގެންވާ حال، ތިބާ ހީކުރަނީ، އެއުރެންނީ، އެންމެން އެކަތިގަނޑަކަށްވެފައިވާ ބަޔެއްކަމުގައެވެ. އެއީ، އެއުރެންނީ، ނުވިސްނޭ ބަޔަކުކަމުގައިވާ ކަމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and similar is the seizure of your lord when he seizes the townships upon their injustice; indeed his seizure is painful, severe.
ރަށްތައް (އެބަހީ: ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން) އަނިޔާވެރިވެގެންވާ حال، ކަލޭގެފާނުގެ ވެރިރަސްކަލާނގެ އެ ރަށްތައް ހިއްޕަވާހިނދު، އެކަލާނގެ ހިއްޕެވުންއޮތީ، އެފަދައިންނެވެ. ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އެކަލާނގެ ހިއްޕެވުމަކީ، ވޭންދެނިވި، ގަދަފަދަ ކަމެކެވެ.

and verily we have destroyed townships round about you, and displayed (for them) our revelation, that haply they might return.
އަދި ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ރަށްތަކުގެ ތެރެއިން ތިޔަބައިމީހުންގެ ވަށައިގެންވާ ތަންތަން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކުރެއްވީމެވެ. އަދި ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ حجّة ތައް ތަފާތުގޮތްގޮތަށް ބަޔާންކޮށްދެއްވީމެވެ. (އެއީ ތެދުމަގަށް) އެއުރެން އެނބުރި رجوع ވުމަށްޓަކައެވެ.

and (all) those townships! we destroyed them when they did wrong, and we appointed a fixed time for their destruction.
އަދި އެއީ އެއުރެން އަނިޔާވެރިވީހިނދު، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކު ކުރެއްވި ރަށްތަކުގެ މީހުންނެވެ. އަދި އެއުރެން ހަލާކުވެދިއުމަށް ކަނޑައެޅިގެންވާ ވަގުތެއް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ލެއްވީމެވެ.

and had the people of those townships believed and feared, we would of a surety have opened up to them blessings from the heavens and the earth; but they belied, wherefore we laid hold of them for that which they had been earning.
ރަށްތަކުގެ أهل ވެރިން، إيمان ވެ تقوى ވެރިވީނަމަ، ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، އުޑުންނާއި، ބިމުން، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ އެއުރެންގެ މައްޗަށް بركات ގެ މަގުތައް ހުޅުއްވައިދެއްވީމުހެވެ. އެހެނެއްކަމަކު، އެއުރެން ދޮގުކުރޫއެވެ. ދެން، އެއުރެން ހޯދައި އުޅުނު عمل ތަކަށްޓަކައި، ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ (ކޯފާގެ عذاب ން) އެއުރެން ހިއްޕެވީމެވެ.

how many townships have we destroyed where the people had become arrogant on account of their affluence? since then their dwelling-places have scarcely been inhabited -- we became their inheritors.
އަދި އެއުރެންނަށް ދެއްވި ދިރިއުޅުމުގެ ތަނަވަސްކަމުގެ މައްޗަށް كبر ވެރިވެގެން އުޅުނު ކިތައްކިތައް ރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިން ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެ ހަލާކުކޮށްލެއްވިން ހެއްޔެވެ؟ ފަހެ، އެއުރެންގެ ގެދޮރު (ފެންނާން) އެހުރީއެވެ. ވަރަށްމަދު ހިނދުކޮޅެއްގައި މެނުވީ، އެއިން ގެއެއްގައި އެއުރެންނަށްފަހު، މީހަކަށް ނޫޅެވެތެވެ. އަދި ދެމިހުންނަނިވި ވާރުތަވެރިޔަކީވެސް ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ. (އެބަހީ: އެންމެހާ ތަކެތި ފަނާވެދިއުމަށްފަހުވެސް ދިރިދެމިވޮޑިގެންވަނީ ތިމަންރަސްކަލާނގެއެވެ.)

"for we are going to bring down on the people of this township a punishment from heaven, because they have been wickedly rebellious."
(ملائكة ން ވިދާޅުވޫއެވެ.) ހަމަކަށަވަރުން، ތިމަންމެން މިރަށުގެ أهل ވެރިންގެ މައްޗަށް، އެއުރެން فاسق ވުމުގެ ސަބަބުން (اللَّه ގެ أمر ފުޅަށް) އުޑުން عذاب އެއް ފޮނުވާހުށީމެވެ.
