ज़िन्दों को भी और मुर्दों को भी ,

the living and the dead ,
ज़िन्दों को भी और मुर्दों को भी ,

for the living and the dead,
और उसमें ऊँचे ऊँचे अटल पहाड़ रख दिए

both for the living and the dead ,
ज़िन्दों को भी और मुर्दों को भी ,

between the living and the dead .
तथा मृत के बीच का संबंध है ।

for both the living and the dead ?
ज़िन्दों को भी और मुर्दों को भी ,

the wise grieve neither for the living nor for the dead .
बुद्धिमान व्यक्ति ना जीवित और ना ही मृत व्यक्ति के लिए शोक करते हैं .

for the living and the dead among you ?
ज़िन्दों को भी और मुर्दों को भी ,

that separates the land of the living from the land of the dead .
जो कि जीवितों और मृतकों की दुनिया की सीमारेखा है ।

the souls of the living as well as of the dead are all one .
जीवितों और मृतों दोनों की आत्मायें एक ही हैं ।

nor are the living and the dead . verily , allah makes whom he will hear , but you cannot make hear those who are in graves .
और न ज़िन्दे और न मुर्दें बराबर हो सकते हैं और खुदा जिसे चाहता है अच्छी तरह सुना देता है और जो क़ब्रों में हैं उन्हें तुम अपनी नहीं समझा सकते हो

nor are equal the living and the dead . god causes whomever he wills to hear , but you cannot make those in the graves hear .
और न ज़िन्दे और न मुर्दें बराबर हो सकते हैं और खुदा जिसे चाहता है अच्छी तरह सुना देता है और जो क़ब्रों में हैं उन्हें तुम अपनी नहीं समझा सकते हो

nor are the living and the dead . god causes whom he will to hear him , but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear you .
और न ज़िन्दे और न मुर्दें बराबर हो सकते हैं और खुदा जिसे चाहता है अच्छी तरह सुना देता है और जो क़ब्रों में हैं उन्हें तुम अपनी नहीं समझा सकते हो

and not equal are the living and the dead . indeed , allah causes to hear whom he wills , but you cannot make hear those in the graves .
और न ज़िन्दे और न मुर्दें बराबर हो सकते हैं और खुदा जिसे चाहता है अच्छी तरह सुना देता है और जो क़ब्रों में हैं उन्हें तुम अपनी नहीं समझा सकते हो

neither are the living and the dead alike . surely allah makes whom he pleases hear , and you cannot make those hear who are in the graves .
और न ज़िन्दे और न मुर्दें बराबर हो सकते हैं और खुदा जिसे चाहता है अच्छी तरह सुना देता है और जो क़ब्रों में हैं उन्हें तुम अपनी नहीं समझा सकते हो

nor are the living and the dead alike . allah makes to hear whomsoever he wishes , but you , , cannot cause to hear those who are in their graves .
और न जीवित और मृत बराबर है । निश्चय ही अल्लाह जिसे चाहता है सुनाता है । तुम उन लोगों को नहीं सुना सकते , जो क़ब्रों में हो ।

equal are not the living and the dead . verily god makes those he will to listen ; but you cannot make those hear who are in their graves .
और न ज़िन्दे और न मुर्दें बराबर हो सकते हैं और खुदा जिसे चाहता है अच्छी तरह सुना देता है और जो क़ब्रों में हैं उन्हें तुम अपनी नहीं समझा सकते हो

for he is not a god of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.
परमेश्वर तो मुरदों का नहीं परन्तु जीवतों का परमेश्वर है: क्योंकि उसके निकट सब जीवित हैं।

and he stood between the dead and the living; and the plague was stayed.
और वह मुर्दों और जीवित के मध्य में खड़ा हुआ; तब मरी थम गई।

now he is not the god of the dead, but of the living, for all are alive to him."
परमेश्वर तो मुरदों का नहीं परन्तु जीवतों का परमेश्वर है: क्योंकि उसके निकट सब जीवित हैं।
