one of us farts, but we don't know yet who is it.
uno di noi fa le puzze, ma non si è ancora scoperto il colpevole.

the two of us must have been quite a sight! ... on the third day i braced myself and spoke to her. i still don't know how i managed to do it, but i told her whatever i had in my heart.
ancora non so come ho fatto, ma le ho detto tutto quello che mi stava in cuore e intanto che parlavo, pensavo:

the fact of having seen them work side by side, identifying themselves in their parts, carried off by the mystery that they knew of being able to witness with the recital, the dance, the song or â⠬â very often â⠬â with the silent work carried on "behind the scenes"; that is the most edifying declaration of faith, a gift that enriched all of us, without exception.
il fatto di averli visti lavorare gomito a gomito, immedesimati nelle loro parti, rapiti dal mistero che sapevano di poter testimoniare con la recitazione, la danza, il canto o - assai spesso - con il lavoro silenzioso svolto "dietro le quinte"; è questa la più edificante dichiarazione di fede, un dono che ci ha arricchiti tutti, senza eccezioni.
