بێگومان ئێمه ئاگادارکراوین، که سزاو ئازارو به‌ڵا له‌سه‌ر ئه‌وانه‌یه که ڕاستیه‌کان به درۆ ده‌زانن و پشتی تێ ده‌که‌ن لێی یاخی ده‌بن.

they wait not for aught but a single cry which will overtake them while they yet contend with one another.
ئه‌وانه ته‌نها چاوه‌ڕێی یه‌ك شریخه و ده‌نگێکی زۆر گه‌وره‌ی سامناك نه‌بێت چاوه‌ڕێی هیچی تر ناکه‌ن، که هه‌موویان ده‌پێچێته‌وه (کۆتایی به ژیانیان ده‌هێنێت) له‌کاتێکدا که سه‌رگه‌رمی کاروباری دنیای خۆیانن، سه‌رگه‌رمی کێشه و به‌ربه‌ره‌کانێی ناحه‌قن.

soon you will know whom a disgraceful punishment will overtake and on whom a lasting punishment will descend.’
جا له داهاتوودا ده‌زانن کێ سزایه‌کی بۆ دێت که ڕیسوای بکات، پاشان له قیامه‌تدا دووچاری سزایه‌کی به‌رده‌وام و هه‌میشه ده‌بێت.

ئایا ئه‌وانه له‌وه ئه‌مینن و ناترسن که سزایه‌کی خوایی هه‌موویان بگرێته‌وه و (له‌ناویان به‌رێت)، یاخود کوتوپڕ قیامه‌ت به‌رپا ببێت له کاتێکدا ئه‌وان هه‌ست به‌نزیکی به‌رپابوونی نه‌که‌ن.

o my father! lo! i fear lest a punishment from the beneficent overtake thee so that thou become a comrade of the devil.
ئه‌ی باوکی به‌رێزم! به‌ڕاستی من ده‌ترسم سزایه‌ک له‌لایه‌ن خوای میهره‌بانه‌وه یه‌خه‌ت پێ بگرێت‌‌، ئه‌وکاته ئیتر ده‌بیته یارو یاوه‌رو پشتتگیری شه‌یتان.

are they looking for anything except the hour (to overtake them). it will come upon them suddenly when they are unaware!
ئایا ئه‌وانه جگه‌له هاتنی قیامه‌ت چاوه‌ڕوانی چی تر ده‌که‌ن، له کاتێکدا ئه‌وان هه‌ستی پێناکه‌ن.

are they looking except for the hour to overtake them suddenly? its signs have come. but how will they be reminded when it has come to them?
ئایا ئه‌وانه‌چاوه‌ڕێی چی ده‌که‌ن جگه‌له‌قیامه‌ت که‌له‌ناکاو یه‌خه‌یان پێ بگرێت؟ چونکه‌به‌ڕاستی هه‌ندێک له‌نیشانه‌کانی ده‌رکه‌وتووه (که‌یه‌کێک له‌وانه‌ره‌وانه‌کردنی دواهه‌مین پێغه‌مبه‌ره‌)، جا ئه‌وکاته‌که‌به‌رپا بێت بیرکردنه‌وه و ئامۆژگارییان چ سوودێکی ده‌بێت؟!

do they really believe that an all-embracing punishment of god will not come upon them, or the day of doom overtake them suddenly while they remain unaware?
ئایا ئه‌وانه له‌وه ئه‌مینن و ناترسن که سزایه‌کی خوایی هه‌موویان بگرێته‌وه و (له‌ناویان به‌رێت)، یاخود کوتوپڕ قیامه‌ت به‌رپا ببێت له کاتێکدا ئه‌وان هه‌ست به‌نزیکی به‌رپابوونی نه‌که‌ن.

do they await anything except that the hour should overtake them suddenly? its portents have already come. when it overtakes them of what avail will the admonitions they were given?
ئایا ئه‌وانه‌چاوه‌ڕێی چی ده‌که‌ن جگه‌له‌قیامه‌ت که‌له‌ناکاو یه‌خه‌یان پێ بگرێت؟ چونکه‌به‌ڕاستی هه‌ندێک له‌نیشانه‌کانی ده‌رکه‌وتووه (که‌یه‌کێک له‌وانه‌ره‌وانه‌کردنی دواهه‌مین پێغه‌مبه‌ره‌)، جا ئه‌وکاته‌که‌به‌رپا بێت بیرکردنه‌وه و ئامۆژگارییان چ سوودێکی ده‌بێت؟!

and nothing prevents men from believing when the guidance comes to them, and from asking forgiveness of their lord, except that what happened to the ancients should overtake them, or that the chastisement should come face to face with them.
خه‌ڵکی خوانه‌ناس هیچ شتێك نه‌بووه‌ته کۆسپ له ڕێیاندا تا باوه‌ڕ بهێنن کاتێك که هیدایه‌تیان بۆ ڕه‌وانه کراوه‌و داوای لێخۆشبوون بکه‌ن له په‌روه‌ردگاریان، مه‌گه‌ر ته‌نها ئه‌وه نه‌بێت که یاسای پێشینان به‌سه‌ریاندا بسه‌پێت (به له‌ناو بردنیان) یاخود سزا ڕوو به‌ڕوویان بێته‌وه (له قیامه‌تدا).
