buildings do not appear out of thin air and neither does schools . they need funding and the barter system has long been abandoned. money is the unit of trade that is used universally. so therefore it takes money and lots of it to fund the building of these schools, the day to day maintenance, upkeep and also to employ people. it is also very expensive to attend these schools, you need books, clothes, food, transportation and most of all there is the tuition. yes some give scholarships, but be realistic of the hundreds of student that apply for scholarships, grants or even financial aid how many will get the opportunity to attend at a deferred cost much less at the schools expense? the percentage of scholarship students attending schools works out to be approximately less than 10% of the total number of students enrolled in tertiary, secondary and elementary schools
