عزم کی دیوار کی نمائندگی کرتا ہے

and how can you take it back, when you have been intimate with one another, and they have received from you a solid commitment?
اور آخر تم اُسے کس طرح لے لو گے جب کہ تم ایک دوسرے سے لطف اندو ز ہو چکے ہو اور وہ تم سے پختہ عہد لے چکی ہیں؟

and when we made a commitment with moosa (moses) for forty nights – then behind him you started worshipping the calf, and you were unjust.
اور (وہ وقت بھی یاد کرو) جب ہم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) سے چالیس راتوں کا وعدہ فرمایا تھا پھر تم نے موسیٰ (علیہ السلام کے چلّہءِ اعتکاف میں جانے) کے بعد بچھڑے کو (اپنا) معبود بنا لیا اور تم واقعی بڑے ظالم تھے،

among the believers are men true to what they promised allah. among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. and they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration -
اور اہلِ ایمان میں سے کچھ ایسے بھی ہیں جنہوں نے وہ عہد و پیمان سچا کر دکھایا جو اللہ سے کیا تھا۔ سو ان میں سے کچھ وہ ہیں جو اپنا وقت پورا کر چکے ہیں اور کچھ اس (وقت) کا انتظار کر رہے ہیں اور انہوں نے (اپنی روش میں) ذرا بھی تبدیلی نہیں کی۔
