and whosoever forbeareth and forgiveth -that verily is of the firmness of affairs.
البتہ جو شخص صبر سے کام لے اور درگزر کرے، تو یہ بڑی اولوالعزمی کے کاموں میں سے ہے

an evil act is like a rotten tree torn out of the earth with no (base or) firmness.
اور ناپاک بات کی مثال اس ناپاک درخت کی سی ہے جسے زمین کے اوپر ہی سے اکھاڑ لیا جائے، اسے ذرا بھی قرار (و بقا) نہ ہو،

most certainly we had given adam a command before, but he forgot. we found him lacking in firmness of resolution.
اور بیشک ہم نے آدم کو اس سے پہلے ایک تاکیدی حکم دیا تھا تو وہ بھول گیا اور ہم نے اس کا قصد نہ پایا،

believers, fight the unbelievers who are near you. let them find firmness in you. know that allah is with those who are cautious.
ایمان والو اپنے آس پاس والے کفار سے جہاد کرو اور وہ تم میں سختی اور طاقت کا احساس کریں اور یاد رکھو کہ اللہ صرف پرہیز گار افراد کے ساتھ ہے

o ye who believe! fight the unbelievers who gird you about, and let them find firmness in you: and know that allah is with those who fear him.
ایمان والو اپنے آس پاس والے کفار سے جہاد کرو اور وہ تم میں سختی اور طاقت کا احساس کریں اور یاد رکھو کہ اللہ صرف پرہیز گار افراد کے ساتھ ہے

god gives firmness to those who believe, with the firm word, in this life, and in the hereafter. and god leads the wicked astray. god does whatever he wills.
الله ایمان والوں کو دنیا اور آخرت کی زندگی میں سچی بات پر ثابت قدم رکھتا ہے اور ظالمو ں کو گمراہ کر تا ہے اور الله جوچاہتا ہے کرتا ہے

do not take oaths to deceive each other, lest your foot should slip after its firmness, lest you should taste evil, for you barred others from the path of allah, and lest a mighty punishment awaits you.
(اور اے مسلمانو،) تم اپنی قسموں کو آپس میں ایک دوسرے کو دھوکہ دینے کا ذریعہ نہ بنا لینا، کہیں ایسا نہ ہو کہ کوئی قدم جمنے کے بعد اکھڑ جائے اور تم اِس جرم کی پاداش میں کہ تم نے لوگوں کو اللہ کی راہ سے روکا، برا نتیجہ دیکھو اور سخت سزا بھگتو

so patiently persevere: for verily the promise of allah is true: nor let those shake thy firmness, who have (themselves) no certainty of faith.
(اے رسول(ص)) آپ صبر و ثبات سے کام لیں۔ بے شک اللہ کا وعدہ سچا ہے اور جو لوگ یقین نہیں رکھتے وہ آپ کو (جوش دلا کر) بے برداشت نہ کر دیں۔

"o my son! establish regular prayer, enjoin what is just, and forbid what is wrong: and bear with patient constancy whatever betide thee; for this is firmness (of purpose) in (the conduct of) affairs.
اے بیٹا! نماز قائم کر اور نیکی کا حکم دے اور برائی سے منع کر اور جو مصیبت پیش آئے اس پر صبر کر۔ بے شک یہ (صبر) عزم و ہمت کے کاموں میں سے ہے۔
