اور ان لوگوں کا مجھ پر ایک گناہ (یعنی قبطی کے خون کا دعویٰ) بھی ہے سو مجھے یہ بھی خوف ہے کہ مجھ کو مار ہی ڈالیں

those who fear their lord in their most secret thoughts, and who hold the hour (of judgment) in awe.
جو ازغیب اپنے پروردگار سے ڈرنے والے ہیں اور قیامت کے خوف سے لرزاں ہیں

whoever submits himself to the will of god in righteousness has certainly achieved a strong-hold. the end of all things is in the hands of god.
اور جس نے نیک ہو کر اپنا منہ الله کے سامنے جھکا دیا تو اس نے مضبوط کڑے کو تھام لیا اور آخر کار ہر معاملہ الله ہی کے حضور میں پیش ہونا ہے

the lord said, "hold the serpent and do not be afraid; we will bring it back to its original form."
ارشاد فرمایا: اسے پکڑ لو اور مت ڈرو ہم اسے ابھی اس کی پہلی حالت پر لوٹا دیں گے،

it is allah who holds the heavens and the earth lest they vanish. should they vanish, none would hold them after him. he is the clement, the forgiving.
بیشک اللہ روکے ہوئے ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کو کہ جنبش نہ کریں اور اگر وہ ہٹ جائیں تو انہیں کون روکے اللہ کے سوا، بیشک وہ علم بخشنے والا ہے،

"o john! hold the book with all your strength." we had bestowed wisdom upon him while he was still a child;
"اے یحییٰؑ! کتاب الٰہی کو مضبوط تھام لے" ہم نے اُسے بچپن ہی میں "حکم" سے نوازا

blessed be he who holds the (reins of) kingship in his hand, who has power over everything,
بابرکت ہے وہ (خدا) جس کے ہاتھ (قبضۂ قدرت) میں (کائنات کی) بادشاہی ہے اور وہ ہر چیز پر پوری قدرت رکھتا ہے۔
