and you are certainly on the most exalted standard of moral excellence.
waxaana kuu sugnaaday dabeeco (fiican) oo weyn.

and below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -
waxay heli labadaas janno ka sokow kuwa kale.

see how we have made some of them to excel others, and certainly the hereafter is much superior in respect of excellence.
day sidaan uga fadilnay qaarkood qaarka (kale) (addunka) aakharaase wayn darajooyin oo wayn fadilid.

see how we have bestowed more on some than on others; but verily the hereafter is more in rank and gradation and more in excellence.
day sidaan uga fadilnay qaarkood qaarka (kale) (addunka) aakharaase wayn darajooyin oo wayn fadilid.

observe how we have given superiority to some over others; and indeed the hereafter is the greatest in rank and the highest in excellence.
day sidaan uga fadilnay qaarkood qaarka (kale) (addunka) aakharaase wayn darajooyin oo wayn fadilid.

see, how we have exalted some above others in this world, and in the life to come they will have higher ranks and greater degrees of excellence over others.
day sidaan uga fadilnay qaarkood qaarka (kale) (addunka) aakharaase wayn darajooyin oo wayn fadilid.

see how we have exalted some above others [in the present life]. yet the hereafter shall be greater in degrees of rank and greater in excellence.
day sidaan uga fadilnay qaarkood qaarka (kale) (addunka) aakharaase wayn darajooyin oo wayn fadilid.

and your lord knows well all those who are in the heavens and the earth; and indeed among the prophets we gave excellence to some above others, and we gave the zaboor to dawud.
eebahaana waa ogyahay waxa ku sugan samooyinka iyo dhulkam, dhab ahaan baana ugu fadilnay nabiyada qaarkood qaarka (kale) waxaana siinay nabi daawuud zabuur.

and certainly we gave to dawood excellence from us: o mountains! sing praises with him, and the birds; and we made the iron pliant to him,
dhab ahaanbaan u siinay nabi daawuud fadli (dheeraad) xaganaga ah, waxaana nidhi buurahoow ka celceliya tasbiixda, shimbirahoowna (la celceliya tasbiixda,) waxaana u jilcincy birta.

and indeed we gave dawud the utmost excellence from us; “o the hills and birds, repent towards allah along with him”; and we made iron soft for him.
dhab ahaanbaan u siinay nabi daawuud fadli (dheeraad) xaganaga ah, waxaana nidhi buurahoow ka celceliya tasbiixda, shimbirahoowna (la celceliya tasbiixda,) waxaana u jilcincy birta.

and ismael (ishmael) and yasa’a (elisha) and yunus (jonah) and lut (lot); and to each one during their times, we gave excellence over all others.
iyo ismaaeiil alyasac, yuunus, iyo luudh, dhammaana waxaad ka fadilnay caalamka.
