neither shall they say, lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of god is within you.

so do not waver and call for peace while you have the upper hand. god is with you, and he will not waste your efforts.

so do not become weak-kneed and sue for peace, for you will have the upper hand as god is with you and will not overlook your deeds.

that is because god would never change a blessing he has bestowed on a people unless they change what is within themselves, and because god is hearing and knowing.

(for the lord thy god is a merciful god;) he will not forsake thee, neither destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.

do those who do evil feel secure that allah will not make the earth to swallow them, or that the punishment will not fall upon them from where they do not know?
บรรดาผู้วางแผนชั่วร้ายทั้งหลายจะปลอดภัยกระนั้นหรือ จากการที่อัลลอฮ์จะทรงให้ธรณีสูบพวกเขา หรือการลงโทษที่จะมาหาพวกเขาโดยที่พวกเขาไม่รู้ตัว

but god will not delay a soul when its time has come. god is informed of what you do.
แต่อัลลอฮฺจะไม่ทรงผ่อนผันให้แก่ชีวิตใด เมื่อกำหนดของมันได้มาถึงแล้ว และอัลลอฮฺนั้นทรงรู้ดียิ่งในสิ่งที่พวกเจ้ากระทำ

and if you tried to enumerate the favors of god, you will not be able to count them. god is forgiving and merciful.
และหากพวกเจ้าจะนับความโปรดปรานของอัลลอฮ์ พวกเจ้าก็ไม่สามารถจะคำนวณมันได้ แท้จริงอัลลอฮ์นั้น เป็นผู้ทรงอภัย ผู้ทรงเมตตาอย่างแน่นอน

although they had made a pledged to god, in the past, that they will not turn their backs. a pledge to god is a responsibility.
และโดยแน่นอนพวกเขาได้ให้สัญญาต่ออัลลอฮฺมาก่อนแล้วว่า พวกเขาจะไม่หันหลังกลับ และสัญญาของอัลลอฮฺนั้นจะถูกสอบถาม

but you will not unless god wills; surely god is ever all-knowing, all-wise.
แต่พวกเจ้าจะไม่สมความปรารถนาได้ เว้นแต่ที่อัลลอฮฺ เป็นผู้ทรงรอบรู้ ผู้ทรงปรีชาญาณ

and beware of an affliction that will not smite exclusively those among you who have done wrong. know that god is severe in exacting retribution.
“และพวกเจ้าจงระวังการลงโทษ ซึ่งมันจะไม่ประสบแก่บรรดาผู้อธรรมในหมู่พวกเจ้าโดยเฉพาะ เท่านั้น และพึงรู้เถิดว่า แท้จริงอัลลอฮฺนั้น เป็นผู้รุนแรงในการลงโทษ

but god will not grant a reprieve to a soul when its appointed time has come; god is well-aware of what you do.
แต่อัลลอฮฺจะไม่ทรงผ่อนผันให้แก่ชีวิตใด เมื่อกำหนดของมันได้มาถึงแล้ว และอัลลอฮฺนั้นทรงรู้ดียิ่งในสิ่งที่พวกเจ้ากระทำ

god will not take into account your inattentive oath. however, he will question you about what your hearts have gained. god is all-forgiving and lenient.
อัลลอฮ์จะไม่ทรงเอาโทษแก่พวกเจ้าด้วยคำพูดพล่อยๆ ในการสาบานของพวกเจ้า แต่ทว่าพระองค์จะทรงเอาโทษแก่พวกเจ้า ด้วยการสาบานที่หัวใจของพวกเจ้ามุ่งหมายด้วย และอัลลอฮ์นั้นเป็นผู้ทรงอภัยโทษผู้ทรงหนักแน่น

and if he divorces her, she will not be lawful for him thereafter until she marries a husband other than him, and if he divorces her, there is no sin upon them to remarry if they think that they can maintain allah’s bounds. these are allah’s bounds, which he clarifies for a people who have knowledge.
ถ้าหากเขาได้หย่านางอีก นางก็ไม่เป็นที่อนุมัติแก่เขาหลังจากนั้น จนกว่าจะแต่งงานกับสามีอื่นจากเขา แล้วหากสามีนั้นหย่านาง ก็ไม่มีบาปใด ๆ แก่ทั้งสอง ที่จะคืนดีกันใหม่ หากเขาทั้งสองคิดว่า จะดำรงไว้ซึ่งขอบเขตของอัลลอฮ์ได้และนั่นแหละคือขอบเขตของอัลลอฮ์ ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงแจกแจงมันอย่างแจ่มแจ้งแก่กลุ่มชนที่รู้ดี

i say not that i have the treasures of god, or that i possess the knowledge of the unknown. i do not claim to be an angel, nor can i say that god will not bestow any good on those you disdain, for god is cognisant of what is in their hearts. if i say this, i will surely be unjust."
ฉันมิได้กล่าวแก่พวกท่านว่า ฉันมีขุมคลังของอัลลอฮ์ และฉันไม่รู้ถึงสิ่งพ้นญาณวิสัยและฉันมิได้กล่าวว่าแท้จริงฉันเป็นมลัก และและมิได้กล่าวแก่บรรดาผู้ที่สายตาของพวกท่านเหยียดหยามว่า อัลลอฮ์จะไม่ทรงประทานความดีแก่พวกเขา อัลลอฮ์ทรงรอบรู้ดียิ่งถึงสิ่งที่อยู่ในจิตใจของพวกเขา แท้จริง ถ้าเป็นเช่นนั้น ฉันจะอยู่ในหมู่ผู้อธรรมทั้งหลาย”

if any of you die and leave widows, the widows should wait for four months and ten days. when they have reached the end of their waiting period you will not be blamed for what they may reasonably choose to do with themselves: god is aware of what you do.
และบรรดาผู้ที่ถึงแก่ชีวิตลงในหมู่พวกเจ้า และทิ้งคู่ครองไว้นั้น พวกนางจะต้องรอคอยตัวของพวกนางเอง สี่เดือนกับสิบวัน ครั้นเมื่อพวกนางครบกำหนดเวลาของพวกนางแล้ว ก็ไม่มีบาปใด ๆ แก่พวกเจ้า ในสิ่งที่พวกนางได้กระทำไปในส่วนตัวของพวกนางโดยชอบธรรม และอัลลอฮ์นั้นทรงรอบรู้อย่างละเอียด ในสิ่งที่พวกเจ้ากระทำนั้น

(muhammad), they seek your verdict. tell them, "god commands this concerning your kindred: if a man dies childless but has a sister, she will receive half of the legacy. if a woman dies childless, her brother will receive the whole legacy. if a childless man leaves only two sisters, both will receive two-thirds of the legacy. if the heirs are both sisters and brothers, the share of a male will be twice as much as the share of the female. god explains his laws to you so that you will not go astray. god knows all things.
เขาเหล่านั้นจะขอให้เจ้าชี้ขาดปัญหา จงกล่าวเถิดว่า อัลลอฮฺ จะทรงชี้ขาดให้แก่พวกเจ้าในเรื่องของผู้เสียชีวิตที่มีมีบิดาและบุตร คือถ้าชายคนหนึ่งตาย โดยที่เขาไม่มีบุตรแต่มีพี่สาวหรือน้องสาวคนหนึ่งแล้ว นางจะได้รับครึ่งหนึ่งของมรดกที่เขาได้ทิ้งไว้ และขณะเดียวกันเขาก็จะได้รับมรดาของนาง หากนางไม่มีบุตร แต่ถ้าปรากฏว่าพี่สาวหรือน้องสาวของเขามีด้วยกันสองคน ทั้งสองนั้นจะได้รับสองในสามจากมรดกที่เขาได้ทั้งไว้ แต่ถ้าพวกเขาเป็นพี่น้องหลายคนทั้งชายและหญิง สำหรับชายจะได้รับเท่ากับส่วนได้ของหญิงสองคน ที่อัลลอฮฺทรงแจกแจงแก่พวกเจ้านั้น เนื่องจากการที่พวกเจ้าหลงฟิด และอัลลอฮฺนั้นทรงรอบรู้ในทุกสิ่งทุกอย่าง
