then a kind of fear in his soul musa felt.
அப்போது, மூஸா தம் மனதில் அச்சம் கொண்டார்.

saying: "we were also once full of fear at home.
"இதற்கு முன் (உலகில்) நாம் நம் குடும்பத்தாரிடையே இருந்த போது (வேதனை பற்றி) நிச்சயமாக அஞ்சியவர்களாகவே இருந்தோம்.

so moses conceived in his mind a (sort of) fear.
அப்போது, மூஸா தம் மனதில் அச்சம் கொண்டார்.

only those who are, out of fear of him, humble before their lord,
நிச்சயமாக, எவாகள் தம் இறைவனிடம் அஞ்சுபவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்-

so i ran away from you out of fear. but my lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle.
"ஆகவே, நான் அப்போது உங்களைப் பற்றி பயந்தபோது, உங்களை விட்டு(த் தப்பி) ஓடினேன்; பிறகு என் இறைவன் எனக்கு ஞானத்தை அளித்து, (அவனுடைய) தூதர்களில் என்னை (ஒருவனாக) ஆக்கியிருக்கிறான்.

but none will remember, unless allah wills, he is the owner of fear, the owner of forgiveness.
இன்னும், அல்லாஹ் நாடினாலன்றி அவர்கள் நல்லுபதேசம் பெற முடியாது. அவனே (நம்) பயபக்திக்குரியவன், அவனே (நம்மை) மன்னிப்பதற்கும் உரிமையுடையவன்.

and those who dispense their charity with their hearts full of fear, because they will return to their lord;-
இன்னும் எவர்கள் தம் இறைவனிடம் தாங்கள் திரும்பிச் செல்லவேண்டியவர்கள் என்று அஞ்சும் நெஞ்சத்தினராய் (நாம் கொடுத்ததிலிருந்து) தங்களால் இயன்ற மட்டும் (அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில்) கொடுக்கிறார்களோ அவர்களும்-

and we will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient,
நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களை ஓரளவு அச்சத்தாலும், பசியாலும், பொருள்கள், உயிர்கள், விளைச்சல்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் இழப்பினாலும் சோதிப்போம்;. ஆனால் பொறுமையுடையோருக்கு (நபியே!) நீர் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

"before this, when we were among our families, we were full of fear of god's displeasure --
"இதற்கு முன் (உலகில்) நாம் நம் குடும்பத்தாரிடையே இருந்த போது (வேதனை பற்றி) நிச்சயமாக அஞ்சியவர்களாகவே இருந்தோம்.

and surely we shall try you with something of fear and hunger, and loss of wealth and lives and crops; but give glad tidings to the steadfast,
நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களை ஓரளவு அச்சத்தாலும், பசியாலும், பொருள்கள், உயிர்கள், விளைச்சல்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் இழப்பினாலும் சோதிப்போம்;. ஆனால் பொறுமையுடையோருக்கு (நபியே!) நீர் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

and they give food, inspite of their love for it (or for the love of him), to miskin (poor), the orphan, and the captive,
மேலும், அ(வ்விறை)வன் மீதுள்ள பிரியத்தினால் ஏழைகளுக்கும், அநாதைகளுக்கும், சிறைப்பட்டோருக்கும் உணவளிப்பார்கள்.

had we sent down this qur'an upon a mountain you would indeed have seen it humbling itself and breaking asunder out of fear of allah. we propound such parables to people that they may reflect.
(நபியே!) நாம் ஒரு மலையின் மீது இந்த குர்ஆனை இறக்கியிருந்தோமானால், அல்லாஹ்வின் பயத்தால், அது நடுங்கிப் பிளந்து போவதாகக் கண்டிருப்பீர்; மேலும், மனிதர்கள் சிந்திக்கும் பொருட்டு இத்தகைய உதாரணங்களை நாம் அவர்களுக்கு விளக்குகிறோம்.

be sure we shall try you with something of fear and hunger and loss of wealth and life and the fruits (of your labour); but give tidings of happiness to those who have patience,
நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களை ஓரளவு அச்சத்தாலும், பசியாலும், பொருள்கள், உயிர்கள், விளைச்சல்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் இழப்பினாலும் சோதிப்போம்;. ஆனால் பொறுமையுடையோருக்கு (நபியே!) நீர் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

be sure we shall test you with something of fear and hunger, some loss in goods or lives or the fruits (of your toil), but give glad tidings to those who patiently persevere,
நிச்சயமாக நாம் உங்களை ஓரளவு அச்சத்தாலும், பசியாலும், பொருள்கள், உயிர்கள், விளைச்சல்கள் ஆகியவற்றின் இழப்பினாலும் சோதிப்போம்;. ஆனால் பொறுமையுடையோருக்கு (நபியே!) நீர் நன்மாராயங் கூறுவீராக!

(muhammad), say, "let me tell you about what your lord has commanded: do not consider anything equal to god; be kind to your parents; do not murder your children out of fear of poverty, for we give sustenance to you and to them. do not even approach indecency either in public or in private. take not a life which god has made sacred except by way of justice and law. thus does he command you that you may learn wisdom.
"வாருங்கள்! உங்கள் இறைவன் உங்கள் மீது விலக்கியிருப்பவற்றையும் (ஏவியிருப்பவற்றையும்) நாம் ஓதிக் காண்பிக்கிறேன்; எப்பொருளையும் அவனுக்கு இணையாக வைக்காதீர்கள்; பெற்றோர்களுக்கு நன்மை செய்யுங்கள்; வறுமைக்குப் பயந்து உங்கள் குழந்தைகளைக் கொல்லாதீர்கள் - ஏனெனில் உங்களுக்கும், அவர்களுக்கும் நாமே உணவளிக்கின்றோம்; வெளிப்டையான இரகசியமான மானக்கேடான காரியங்களை நீங்கள் நெருங்காதீர்கள்; அல்லாஹ் தடுத்துள்ள எந்த ஓர் ஆத்மாவையும் நியாயமானதற்கு அல்லாமல் - கொலை செய்யாதீர்கள் - இவற்றை நீங்கள் உணர்ந்து கொள்வதற்காக (இறைவன்) உங்களுக்கு (இவ்வாறு) போதிக்கின்றான்.
