இறைவன் (மனிதன் இறந்த பின் அவனை உயிர்ப்பித்து) மீட்டும் சக்தியுடையவன்.

as a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. even thus will be the life after death.
(அவற்றின் கனிகளை) அடியார்களுக்கு உணவாக (அளிக்கிறோம்), மேலும், அதைக் கொண்டு இறந்து கிடந்த ஊரை (பூமியை) நாம் உயிர்ப்பிக்கிறோம், இவ்விதமே, (இறந்தவர்கள் உயிர்ப்பிக்கப் பெற்று) வெளியேறுதலும் இருக்கிறது.

(மரணத்திற்குப் பின் உயிர்ப்பிக்கப் படுவோம் என்பதை) உண்மையென ஏற்பவர்களில் நிச்சயமாக நீயும் ஒருவனா எனக் கேட்டான்.

(after death) you will all be returned to god, your true guardian. know that judgment will be in his hands and that his reckoning is swift.
பின்னர் அவர்கள் தங்களின் உண்மையான பாதுகாவலனான அல்லாஹ்விடம் கொண்டுவரப்படுவார்கள்; (அப்போது தீர்ப்பு கூறும்) அதிகாரம் அவனுக்கே உண்டு என்பதை அவர்கள் அறிந்து கொள்ளட்டும், அவன் கணக்கு வாங்குவதில் மிகவும் விரைவானவன்.

so that perhaps i shall act righteously for the rest of my life." although he will say so but his wish will never come true. after death they will be behind a barrier until the day of their resurrection.
"நான் விட்டுவந்ததில் நல்ல காரியங்களைச் செய்வதற்காக" (என்றும் கூறுவான்). அவ்வாறில்லை! அவன் கூறுவது வெறும் வார்த்தையே(யன்றி வேறில்லை) அவர்கள் எழுப்பப்படும் நாள்வரையும் அவர்கள் முன்னே ஒரு திரையிருக்கிறது.

commemorate (the names of) god in the prescribed days. for one who observes piety, it is not a sin to be hasty or tardy during the two days. have fear of god and know that before him you will all be raised after death.
குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட நாட்களில் அல்லாஹ்வை திக்ரு செய்யுங்கள்; எவரும்(மினாவிலிருந்து) இரண்டு நாட்களில் விரைந்துவிட்டால் அவர் மீது குற்றமில்லை. யார்(ஒரு நாள் அதிகமாக) தங்குகிறாறோ அவர் மீதும் குற்றமில்லை. (இது இறைவனை) அஞ்சிக் கொள்வோருக்காக (கூறப்படுகிறது). அல்லாஹ்வை நீங்கள் அஞ்சிக் கொள்ளுங்கள்; நீங்கள் நிச்சயமாக அவனிடத்திலே ஒன்று சேர்க்கப்படுவீர்கள் என்பதையும் அறிந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.

in that case, we would have made you taste a double portion (of punishment) in this life and a double portion (of punishment) after death. and then you would have found none to help you against us.
(அவ்வாறு நீர் சாய்ந்திருந்தால்) நீர் இவ்வாழ்நாளில் இரு மடங்கு (வேதனையும்,) மரணத்தில் இரு மடங்கு (வேதனையு)ம் நுகருமாறு நாம் செய்திருப்போம்; பின்பு, நமக்கு எதிராக உமக்கு உதவியாளர் எவரையும் நீர் காணமாட்டீர்.

then [if you had], we would have made you taste double [punishment in] life and double [after] death. then you would not find for yourself against us a helper.
(அவ்வாறு நீர் சாய்ந்திருந்தால்) நீர் இவ்வாழ்நாளில் இரு மடங்கு (வேதனையும்,) மரணத்தில் இரு மடங்கு (வேதனையு)ம் நுகருமாறு நாம் செய்திருப்போம்; பின்பு, நமக்கு எதிராக உமக்கு உதவியாளர் எவரையும் நீர் காணமாட்டீர்.

and do not ever assume that those who are slain in allah's cause, are dead; in fact they are alive with their lord, receiving sustenance. (death does not mean extinction, it is the passing of the soul from this world to another. in case of virtuous believers, their bodies do not rot after death and they remain “alive”, in the manner allah has ordained for them.)
அல்லாஹ்வின் பாதையில் போரிட்டுக் கொல்லப்பட்டவர்களை மரித்தவர்கள் என்று நிச்சயமாக எண்ணாதீர்கள் - தம் ரப்பினிடத்தில் அவர்கள் உயிருடனேயே இருக்கிறார்கள் - (அவனால்) அவர்கள் உணவளிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.
