better is the night of determination than a thousand months.
கண்ணியமிக்க (அந்த) இரவு ஆயிரம் மாதங்களை விட மிக மேலானதாகும்.

he said: better is that where in my lord hath established me; so help me with might, and i shall place between you and them a rampart.
அதற்கவர்; "என் இறைவன் எனக்கு எதில் (வசதிகள்) அளித்திருக்கிறானோ அது (நீங்கள் கொடுக்க இருப்பதைவிட) மேலானது ஆகவே, (உங்கள் உடல்) பலம் கொண்டு எனக்கு நீங்கள் உதவி செய்யுங்கள்; நான் உங்களுக்கும் அவர்களுக்கும் இடையே ஓர் உறுதியான தடுப்பை ஏற்படுத்தி விடுகிறேன்" என்று கூறினார்

but those to whom knowledge had been given said: 'alas for you! better is the reward of allah for him who believes and does good works; but none shall receive it except the patient'
கல்வி ஞானம் பெற்றவர்களோ "உங்களுக்கென்ன கேடு! ஈமான் கொண்டு, நல்ல அமல்களை செய்பவர்களுக்கு அல்லாஹ் அளிக்கும் வெகுமதி இதைவிட மேன்மையானது எனினும், அதைப் பொறுமையாளரைத் தவிர, (வேறு) எவரும் அடைய மாட்டார்கள்" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

we did not send any before you from the inhabitants of the village, but men to whom a revelation was sent. have they not traveled in the land and seen what was the end of those before them? better is the dwelling in the everlasting life for those who keep from evil. do you not understand?
(நபியே!) உமக்கு முன்னர் (பற்பல சமூகங்களுக்கும் ) நாம் அனுப்பிய தூதர்கள் (அந்தந்த சமூகங்களின்) ஊர்களிலிருந்த மனிதர்களேயன்றி வேறில்லை அவர்களுக்கு நாம் வஹீ மூலம் (நம் கட்டளைகளை) அறிவித்தோம் - இவர்கள் பூமியில் பிரயாணம் செய்து இவர்களுக்கு முன் இருந்தவர்களின் முடிவு எப்படியிருந்தது என்பதைப் பார்க்க வில்லையா? மறுமை வீடுதான் பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுக்கு மிகவும் மேலானதாகும்; (இதனை) நீங்கள் (சிந்தித்து) விளங்கிக்கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?

and the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. but far better is the house in the hereafter for those who are al-muttaqun (the pious - see v. 2:2). will you not then understand?
உலக வாழ்க்கை வீணும் விளையாட்டுமேயன்றி வேறில்லை பயபக்தியுடையவர்களுக்கு நிச்சயமாக மறுமை வீடே மிகவும் மேலானதாகும்; நீங்கள் இதைப் புரிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டாமா?
