அவர்கள் தங்கள் இறைவனுடைய கடடளையை மீறினார்கள்; அவர்கள் பார்த்துக் கொண்டிருக்கும் நிலையிலேயே (நில நடுக்கம் பேரிடி போன்ற) பயங்கரமான பெரும் சப்தம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்துக் கொண்டது.

and there is not a thing but with us are the treasures of it, and we do not send it down but in a known measure.
ஒவ்வொரு பொருளுக்குமான பொக்கிஷங்கள் நம்மிடமே இருக்கின்றன அவற்றை நாம் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட அளவுப்படி அல்லாமல் இறக்கிவைப்பதில்லை.

or who is it that could be an army for you to aid you other than the most merciful? the disbelievers are not but in delusion.
அன்றியும், அர்ரஹ்மானை தவிர வேறு எவர் உங்களுக்குப் பட்டாளமாக இருந்து கொண்டு உதவி செய்வார்? காஃபிர்கள் ஏமாற்றத்திலன்றி வேறில்லை.

had god not decreed exile for them, he would have punished them in this life. but in the hereafter they will have the punishment of the fire.
தவிரவும், அவர்கள் மீது வெளியேறுகையை அல்லாஹ் விதிக்காதிருந்தால், இவ்வுலகிலேயே அவர்களைக் கடினமாக வேதனை செய்திருப்பான், இன்னும் அவர்களுக்கு மறுமையிலும் (நரக) நெருப்பின் வேதனை உண்டு.

indeed they came near to unsettling you, so that they might expel you from the land, but in that case they themselves would not have stayed on for very long after you.
(நபியே!) உம்மை (உம்முடைய) பூமியிலிருந்து அடி பெயரச்செய்து, அதை விட்டும் உம்மை வெளியேற்றிவிட முனைகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்களோ உமக்குப்பின்னர் சொற்ப நாட்களேயன்றி (அங்கு) தங்கியிருக்க மாட்டார்கள்.

and we did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them two but in truth; and the hour is most surely coming, so turn away with kindly forgiveness.
நாம் வானங்களையும், பூமியையும், இவை இரண்டிற்குமிடையே உள்ளவற்றையும் உண்மையைக் கொண்டே அல்லாது படைக்கவில்லை. (நபியே! இவர்களுடைய தண்டனைக்குரிய) காலம் நிச்சயமாக வருவதாகவே உள்ளது ஆதலால் (இவர்களின் தவறுகளை) முற்றாகப் புறக்கணித்துவிடும்.

but in fact we hurl the truth upon falsehood, so it scatters its brains – thereupon it vanishes; and for you is the ruin due to the matters you fabricate.
அவ்வாறில்லை! நாம் சத்தியத்தை கொண்டு, அசத்தியத்தின் மீது வீசுகிறோம்; அதனால், (சத்தியம் அசத்தியத்தின் சிரசைச்) சிதறடித்துவிடுகிறது பின்னர் (அசத்தியம்) அழிந்ததே போய்விடுகிறது. ஆகவே, நீங்கள் (கற்பனையாக இட்டுக்கட்டி) வர்ணிப்பதெல்லாம் உங்களுக்கு கேடுதான்.

and had the people of the dwellings believed and been pious, we would have surely opened for them the blessings from the sky and from the earth, but in fact they denied, and we therefore seized them on account of their deeds.
நிச்சயமாக அவ்வூர்வாசிகள் ஈமான் கொண்டு அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சி நடந்திருந்தால், நாம் அவர்களுக்கு வானத்திலிருந்தும் பூமியிலிருந்தும் - பரகத்துகளை - பாக்கியங்களைத் திறந்து விட்டிருப்போம்; ஆனால் அவர்கள் (நபிமார்களை நம்பாது) பொய்ப்பித்தனர், ஆகவே அவர்கள் செய்து கொண்டிருந்த (பாவத்)தின் காரணமாக நாம் அவர்களைப் பிடித்தோம்.

there is no calamity that befalls the earth or your own selves but in accordance with the law (of causation) before we make it evident. this is indeed how the law of god works inevitably.
பூமியிலோ, அல்லது உங்களிலோ சம்பவிக்கிற எந்தச் சம்பவமும் - அதனை நாம் உண்டாக்குவதற்கு முன்னரே (லவ்ஹுல் மஹ்ஃபூள்) ஏட்டில் இல்லாமலில்லை, நிச்சயமாக அது அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு மிக எளிதானதேயாகும்.

how? if they get the better of you, they will not observe towards you any bond or treaty, giving you satisfaction with their mouths but in their hearts refusing; and the most of them are ungodly.
(எனினும் அவர்களுடன்) எப்படி (உடன்படிக்கை இருக்க முடியும்?) உங்கள் மேல் அவர்கள் வெற்றி கொண்டால் உங்களிடையே உள்ள உறவின் முறையையும், (உங்களிடையே இருக்கும்) உடன்படிக்கையையும் அவர்கள் பொருட்படுத்துவதேயில்லை அவர்கள் தம் வாய்(மொழி)களைக் கொண்டு(தான்) உங்களைத் திருப்திபடுத்துகிறார்கள்; ஆனால் அவர்களின் உள்ளங்கள் (அதனை) மறுக்கின்றன - அவர்களில் பெரும்பாலோர் பாவிகளாக இருக்கின்றனர்.

"o my lord! forgive me, my parents, all who enter my house in faith, and (all) believing men and believing women: and to the wrong-doers grant thou no increase but in perdition!"
"என் இறைவா! எனக்கும், என் பெற்றோருக்கும், என் வீட்டில் நம்பிக்கையாளர்களாகப் பிரவேசித்தவர்களுக்கும், முஃமினான ஆண்களுக்கும், முஃமினான பெண்களுக்கும், நீ மன்னிப்பளிப்பாயாக! மேலும், அநியாயக்காரர்களுக்கு அழிவையேயல்லாது (வேறு எதையும்) நீ அதிகரிக்காதே" (என்றும் கூறினார்).
