oh, woe to me! i wish i had not taken that one as a friend.
"எனக்கு வந்த கேடே! (என்னை வழி கெடுத்த) ஒருவனை நண்பனாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாது இருந்திருக்க வேண்டாமா?"

and allah is knower of your enemies. sufficieth allah as a friend and sufficieth allah as a helper.
மேலும், அல்லாஹ் உங்கள் பகைவர்களை நன்கு அறிவான்;. (உங்களுக்குப்) பாதுகாவலனாக இருக்க அல்லாஹ் போதுமானவன்;. (உங்களுக்கு) உதவியாளனாக இருக்கவும் அல்லாஹ் போதுமானவன்.

"ah! woe to me! would that i had never taken so-and-so as a friend!
"எனக்கு வந்த கேடே! (என்னை வழி கெடுத்த) ஒருவனை நண்பனாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாது இருந்திருக்க வேண்டாமா?"

indeed they were near to seducing thee from that we revealed to thee, that thou mightest forge against us another, and then they would surely have taken thee as a friend;
(நபியே!) இன்னும் நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவித்தோமே அதை விட்டும், அதல்லாததை நம்மீது நீர் இட்டுக்கட்டிக் கூறும்படி உம்மைத் திருப்பிவிடவே அவர்கள் முனைந்தார்கள்; (அவ்வாறு நீர் செய்திருந்தால்) உம்மை தம் உற்ற நண்பராகவும் அப்போது எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

indeed, they were near to seducing you from that we revealed to you, so that you might forge against us another, and then they would surely have taken you as a friend;
(நபியே!) இன்னும் நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவித்தோமே அதை விட்டும், அதல்லாததை நம்மீது நீர் இட்டுக்கட்டிக் கூறும்படி உம்மைத் திருப்பிவிடவே அவர்கள் முனைந்தார்கள்; (அவ்வாறு நீர் செய்திருந்தால்) உம்மை தம் உற்ற நண்பராகவும் அப்போது எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

and verily they had well-nigh tempted thee away from that which we have revealed unto thee, that thou shouldst fabricate regarding something else; and then surely they would have taken thee as a friend!
(நபியே!) இன்னும் நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவித்தோமே அதை விட்டும், அதல்லாததை நம்மீது நீர் இட்டுக்கட்டிக் கூறும்படி உம்மைத் திருப்பிவிடவே அவர்கள் முனைந்தார்கள்; (அவ்வாறு நீர் செய்திருந்தால்) உம்மை தம் உற்ற நண்பராகவும் அப்போது எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

and indeed, they were about to tempt you away from that which we revealed to you in order to [make] you invent about us something else; and then they would have taken you as a friend.
(நபியே!) இன்னும் நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவித்தோமே அதை விட்டும், அதல்லாததை நம்மீது நீர் இட்டுக்கட்டிக் கூறும்படி உம்மைத் திருப்பிவிடவே அவர்கள் முனைந்தார்கள்; (அவ்வாறு நீர் செய்திருந்தால்) உம்மை தம் உற்ற நண்பராகவும் அப்போது எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.

and who has a better religion than he who submits himself entirely to allah? and he is the doer of good (to others) and follows the faith of ibrahim, the upright one, and allah took ibrahim as a friend.
மேலும், எவர் நன்மை செய்யக்கூடிய நிலையில் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு முற்றிலும் வழிபட்டு, இப்றாஹீமுடைய தூய மார்க்கத்தையும் பின் பற்றுகிறாரோ, அவரைவிட அழகிய மார்க்கத்தை உடையவர் யார்? இன்னும் அல்லாஹ் இப்றாஹீமை தன் மெய்யன்பராக எடுத்துக் கொண்டான்.

and it was close that they were about to mislead you somewhat from the divine revelation we sent to you, for you to attribute something else* to us; and if it were**, they would have accepted you as a friend. (* other than the divine revelation. ** which is impossible.)
(நபியே!) இன்னும் நாம் உமக்கு வஹீ மூலம் அறிவித்தோமே அதை விட்டும், அதல்லாததை நம்மீது நீர் இட்டுக்கட்டிக் கூறும்படி உம்மைத் திருப்பிவிடவே அவர்கள் முனைந்தார்கள்; (அவ்வாறு நீர் செய்திருந்தால்) உம்மை தம் உற்ற நண்பராகவும் அப்போது எடுத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.
