it shall not be abated from them and they shall therein be despairing.
அவர்களுக்கு அ(வ்வேதனையான)து குறைக்கப்பட மாட்டாது அதில் அவர்கள் நம்பிக்கையையும் இழந்து விடுவார்கள்.

they said: we give you good news with truth, therefore be not of the despairing.
அதற்கவர்கள், "மெய்யாகவே, நாங்கள் உமக்கு நன்மாராயங் கூறினோம்; ஆகவே நீர் (அதுபற்றி) நிராசை கொண்டோரில் ஒருவராகி விடாதீர்!" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

even though before it was sent down upon them, before that, they were surely despairing.
எனினும், அவர்கள் மீது அ(ம் மழையான)து இறங்குவதற்கு முன்னரும் - அதற்கு முன்னரும் - (மழையின்மையால்) அவர்கள் முற்றிலும் நிராசைப்பட்டிருந்தனர்.

they said: we bring thee good tidings in truth. so be not thou of the despairing.
அதற்கவர்கள், "மெய்யாகவே, நாங்கள் உமக்கு நன்மாராயங் கூறினோம்; ஆகவே நீர் (அதுபற்றி) நிராசை கொண்டோரில் ஒருவராகி விடாதீர்!" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

we grant a favor to the human being and then take it away from him. he becomes despairing and ungrateful.
நாம் நம்மிடமிருந்து நற்கிருபையை மனிதன் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்து, பின்பு அதனை அவனை விட்டும் நாம் நீக்கி விட்டால், நிச்சயமாக அவன் நிராசைப்பட்டு பெரும் நன்றி கெட்டவனாகி விடுகின்றான்.

man is never tired of praying for good, and if evil touch him, then he is despairing, hopeless.
மனிதன் (நம்மிடம் பிரார்த்தனை செய்து) நல்லதைக் கேட்பதற்குச் சோர்வடைவதில்லை ஆனால் அவனைக் கெடுதி தீண்டுமாயின் அவன் மனமுடைந்து நிராசையுள்ளவனாகின்றான்.

and if we give man a taste of mercy from us and then we withdraw it from him, indeed, he is despairing and ungrateful.
நாம் நம்மிடமிருந்து நற்கிருபையை மனிதன் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்து, பின்பு அதனை அவனை விட்டும் நாம் நீக்கி விட்டால், நிச்சயமாக அவன் நிராசைப்பட்டு பெரும் நன்றி கெட்டவனாகி விடுகின்றான்.

and when we bestow favor on man, he turns aside and behaves proudly, and when evil afflicts him, he is despairing.
நாம் மனிதனுக்கு அருட்கொடைகளை வழங்கினால் அவன் (நன்றி செலுத்தாமல்) புறக்கணித்து(த் தோளை உயர்த்திப்) பெருமை கொள்கிறான்; அவனை (ஏதேனுமொரு) தீங்கு தொடுமானால் அவன் நிராசை கொண்டவனாகி விடுகிறான்.

and if we bestow man the enjoyment of some mercy from us and later withdraw it from him; surely he is most despairing, ungrateful.
நாம் நம்மிடமிருந்து நற்கிருபையை மனிதன் சுவைக்கும்படிச் செய்து, பின்பு அதனை அவனை விட்டும் நாம் நீக்கி விட்டால், நிச்சயமாக அவன் நிராசைப்பட்டு பெரும் நன்றி கெட்டவனாகி விடுகின்றான்.

they (the angels) said: "we give you glad tidings in truth. so be not of the despairing ones."
அதற்கவர்கள், "மெய்யாகவே, நாங்கள் உமக்கு நன்மாராயங் கூறினோம்; ஆகவே நீர் (அதுபற்றி) நிராசை கொண்டோரில் ஒருவராகி விடாதீர்!" என்று கூறினார்கள்.

so will one whose misdeeds are made seeming good to him – so he deems them good – be ever equal to the one who is upon guidance? therefore indeed allah sends astray whomever he wills, and guides whomever he wills; so may not your life be lost in despairing after them; allah knows their deeds very well.
எவனுக்கு அவனுடைய செயலின் கெடுதியும் அழகாகக் காண்பிக்கப்பட்டு, அவனும் அதைஅழகாகக் காண்கிறானோ, அவன் (நேர்வழி பெற்றவனைப் போலாவானா?) அன்றியும், நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் தான் நாடியவரை வழிதவறச் செய்கிறான்;. மேலும் தான் நாடியவரை நேர்வழியில் சேர்க்கிறான்; ஆகவே, அவர்களுக்காக உம்முடைய உயிர் போகும் அளவுக்கு நீர் விசாரப்பட வேண்டாம், நிச்சயமாக, அல்லாஹ் அவர்கள் செய்வதை நன்கறிபவன்.
