ஆர்வக் கோளாறு இரு கற்றுக்கொள்

this is how allah sets seal upon the hearts of the ignorant.
அவ்வாறே, இந்த அறிவில்லாதவர்களின் இருதயங்களின் மீது அல்லாஹ் முத்திரையிடுகிறான்.

be tolerant, and command decency, and avoid the ignorant.
எனினும் (நபியே) மன்னிப்பைக் கைக் கொள்வீராக! நன்மையைக் கடைபிடிக்குமாறு (மக்களை) ஏவுவீராக மேலும் அறிவீனர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடும்.

the ignorant fool among us has spoken outrageously against allah,
"ஆனால் நம்மில் மூடராகிவிட்ட (சிலர்) அல்லாஹ்வின் மீது தகாத வார்த்தைகளை சொல்லிக் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர்.

be tolerant; enjoin what is right; and avoid the ignorant.
எனினும் (நபியே) மன்னிப்பைக் கைக் கொள்வீராக! நன்மையைக் கடைபிடிக்குமாறு (மக்களை) ஏவுவீராக மேலும் அறிவீனர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடும்.

accept the easing, order with fine jurisprudence, and avoid the ignorant.
எனினும் (நபியே) மன்னிப்பைக் கைக் கொள்வீராக! நன்மையைக் கடைபிடிக்குமாறு (மக்களை) ஏவுவீராக மேலும் அறிவீனர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடும்.

take the abundance, and bid to what is honourable, and turn away from the ignorant.
எனினும் (நபியே) மன்னிப்பைக் கைக் கொள்வீராக! நன்மையைக் கடைபிடிக்குமாறு (மக்களை) ஏவுவீராக மேலும் அறிவீனர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடும்.

hold to forgiveness; command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant.
எனினும் (நபியே) மன்னிப்பைக் கைக் கொள்வீராக! நன்மையைக் கடைபிடிக்குமாறு (மக்களை) ஏவுவீராக மேலும் அறிவீனர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடும்.

[o prophet!] show forgiveness, enjoin equity, and avoid the ignorant.
எனினும் (நபியே) மன்னிப்பைக் கைக் கொள்வீராக! நன்மையைக் கடைபிடிக்குமாறு (மக்களை) ஏவுவீராக மேலும் அறிவீனர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடும்.

do you lust after men instead of women? you are truly ignorant people.”
"நீங்கள் பெண்களை விட்டு விட்டு, மோகங் கொண்டவர்களாக ஆண்களை நெருங்குகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் முற்றிலும் அறிவில்லாத மக்களாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

do you approach men lustfully instead of women! no, you are an ignorant nation'
"நீங்கள் பெண்களை விட்டு விட்டு, மோகங் கொண்டவர்களாக ஆண்களை நெருங்குகிறீர்களா? நீங்கள் முற்றிலும் அறிவில்லாத மக்களாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

he said: remember ye that which ye did unto yusuf and his brother while ye were ignorant?
(அதற்கு அவர்?) "நீங்கள் அறிவீனர்களாக இருந்த போது, யூஸுஃபுக்கும் அவர் சகோதரருக்கும் நீங்கள் என்ன செய்தீர்கள் என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிவீர்களா?" என்று வினவினார்.

and the bondmen of the compassionate are those who walk upon the earth meekly and when the ignorant address them, they say peace
இன்னும் அர்ரஹ்மானுடைய அடியார்கள் (யாரென்றால்) அவர்கள்தாம் பூமியில் பணிவுடன் நடப்பவர்கள்; மூடர்கள் அவர்களுடன் பேசி(வாதா)ட முற்பட்டால் "ஸலாம்" (சாந்தியுண்டாகட்டும் என்று) சொல்லி (விலகிப் போய்) விடுவார்கள்.

and will not say that the book was revealed only to two groups of people before you, or that you were ignorant of its knowledge,
நமக்கு முன் இரு கூட்டத்தினர் மீது மட்டுமே வேதம் இறக்கப்பட்டது - ஆகவே நாங்கள் அதனைப் படிக்கவும் கேட்கவும் முடியாமல் பராமுகமாகி விட்டோம் என்று நீங்கள் கூறாதிருக்கவும்;

(muhammad), say, "ignorant ones, do you command me to worship things other than god
"அறிவிலிகளே! நான் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றை வணங்க வேண்டுமென்று என்னை நீங்கள் ஏவுகிறீர்களா?" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

say: 'o you who are ignorant, is it other than allah that you would order me to worship'
"அறிவிலிகளே! நான் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றை வணங்க வேண்டுமென்று என்னை நீங்கள் ஏவுகிறீர்களா?" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

allah responded: 'the prayer of the two of you is accepted. so keep steadfast, and do not follow the path of the ignorant.
இறைவன் கூறினான்; "உங்கள் இருவரின் பிரார்த்தனை ஏற்றுக் கொள்ளப்பட்டது; எனவே நீங்கள் உறுதியாக இருங்கள். அறியாதவர்களாக இருக்கிறார்களே அவர்களின் வழியை நீங்கள் இருவரும் (ஒருபோதுமு;) பின் பற்றாதீர்கள்" என்று.

and when they hear vanity they withdraw from it and say: unto us our works and unto you your works. peace be unto you! we desire not the ignorant.
அன்றியும், இவர்கள் வீணானதைச் செவியுற்றால், அதைப் புறக்கணித்து "எங்களுக்கு எங்கள் அமல்கள்; உங்களுக்கு உங்கள் அமல்கள்; ஸலாமுன் அலைக்கும் (உங்களுக்குச் சாந்தி உண்டாகுக!) அறியாமைக்காரர்களை நாங்கள் விரும்புவதில்லை" என்று கூறுவார்கள்.

(o prophet), say: “ignorant people! do you bid me to serve any other beside allah?”
"அறிவிலிகளே! நான் அல்லாஹ் அல்லாதவற்றை வணங்க வேண்டுமென்று என்னை நீங்கள் ஏவுகிறீர்களா?" என்று (நபியே!) நீர் கூறுவீராக.

adopt [a policy of] excusing [the faults of people], bid what is right, and turn away from the ignorant.
எனினும் (நபியே) மன்னிப்பைக் கைக் கொள்வீராக! நன்மையைக் கடைபிடிக்குமாறு (மக்களை) ஏவுவீராக மேலும் அறிவீனர்களைப் புறக்கணித்து விடும்.
