is it not a sign unto them that the learned among the children of isra'il know it?
இன்னும், நாம் இதனை அரபி (மொழி) அல்லாதவர்களில் ஒருவர் மீது இறக்கி வைத்திருப்போமாயின்;

is it not a sign to them that the learned men of the israelites know it?
இன்னும், நாம் இதனை அரபி (மொழி) அல்லாதவர்களில் ஒருவர் மீது இறக்கி வைத்திருப்போமாயின்;

is it not a lie invented by them when they say:
"அறிந்து கொள்க! நிச்சயமாக இவர்கள் தங்கள் கற்பனையில் தான் கூறுகின்றனர்."

is it not a sign for them that the learned of the children of israel recognize it?
இன்னும், நாம் இதனை அரபி (மொழி) அல்லாதவர்களில் ஒருவர் மீது இறக்கி வைத்திருப்போமாயின்;

is it not a sign to them that the learned of the children of israel knew it (as true)?
இன்னும், நாம் இதனை அரபி (மொழி) அல்லாதவர்களில் ஒருவர் மீது இறக்கி வைத்திருப்போமாயின்;

was it not a proof for them that the learned men of israel knew about this?
இன்னும், நாம் இதனை அரபி (மொழி) அல்லாதவர்களில் ஒருவர் மீது இறக்கி வைத்திருப்போமாயின்;

were it not a previous ordainment from allah, a severe torment would have touched you for what you took.
அல்லாஹ்விடம் (உங்களுடைய மன்னிப்பு) ஏற்கனவே எழுதப்படாமலிருந்தால் நீங்கள் (போர்க் கைதிகளிடம் பத்ரில் ஈட்டுப் பணத்தை) எடுத்துக் கொண்டதன் காரணமாக உங்களை ஒரு பெரிய வேதனை பிடித்திருக்கும்.

is it not a sign to them that the learned scholars (like 'abdullah bin salam who embraced islam) of the children of israel knew it (as true)?
இன்னும், நாம் இதனை அரபி (மொழி) அல்லாதவர்களில் ஒருவர் மீது இறக்கி வைத்திருப்போமாயின்;

and there is not a thing but with us are the stores thereof. and we send it not down save in appointed measure.
ஒவ்வொரு பொருளுக்குமான பொக்கிஷங்கள் நம்மிடமே இருக்கின்றன அவற்றை நாம் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட அளவுப்படி அல்லாமல் இறக்கிவைப்பதில்லை.

and there is not a thing, but with us are the stores thereof. and we send it not down except in a known measure.
ஒவ்வொரு பொருளுக்குமான பொக்கிஷங்கள் நம்மிடமே இருக்கின்றன அவற்றை நாம் ஒரு குறிப்பிட்ட அளவுப்படி அல்லாமல் இறக்கிவைப்பதில்லை.

is it not a guidance to those who inherit the earth after those who inhabited it that, did we will, we would smite them because of their sins, sealing their hearts so they do not hear?
பூமியில் (வாழ்ந்து போனவர்களுக்குப் பின்னால்), அதனை வாரிசாகப் பெற்ற இவர்களையும், நாம் நாடினால், இவர்களுடைய பாவங்களின் காரணத்தால் (அவ்வாறே) தண்டிப்போம் என்பது இவர்களுக்கு தெளிவாகவில்லையா? நாம் இவர்களுடைய இதயங்களின் மீது முத்திரையிட்டு விட்டோம்; எனவே இவர்கள் (நற்போதனைகளுக்குச்) செவிசாய்க்க மாட்டார்கள்.

is it not a guidance to them, how many generations we destroyed before them in whose dwelling places they walk? surely, in this there are signs for thoseof reason.
இவர்களுக்கு முன் நாம் எத்தனையோ தலைமுறையினரை அழித்திருக்கிறோம் என்பது அவர்களுக்கு(ப் படிப்பினையைத் தந்து) நேர் வழி காட்டவில்லையா? (அழிந்து போன) அவர்கள் குடியிருந்த இடங்களில் தானே இவர்கள் நடக்கிறார்கள்; நிச்சயமாக அதில் அறிவுடையோருக்கு அத்தாட்சிகள் உள்ளன.

is it not a guidance to them, how many generations we destroyed before them in whose dwelling-places they walk? surely in that are signs for men possessing reason.
இவர்களுக்கு முன் நாம் எத்தனையோ தலைமுறையினரை அழித்திருக்கிறோம் என்பது அவர்களுக்கு(ப் படிப்பினையைத் தந்து) நேர் வழி காட்டவில்லையா? (அழிந்து போன) அவர்கள் குடியிருந்த இடங்களில் தானே இவர்கள் நடக்கிறார்கள்; நிச்சயமாக அதில் அறிவுடையோருக்கு அத்தாட்சிகள் உள்ளன.

and even so we sent not a warner before thee (muhammad) into any township but its luxurious ones said: lo! we found our fathers following a religion, and we are following their footprints.
இவ்வாறே உமக்கு முன்னரும் நாம் (நம்முடைய) தூதரை எந்த ஊருக்கு அனுப்பினாலும், அவர்களில் செல்வந்தர்கள்; "நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் எங்கள் மூதாதையரை ஒரு மார்க்கத்தில் கண்டோம்; நிச்சயமாக நாங்கள் அவர்களின் அடிச்சவடுகளையே பின்பற்றுகின்றோம்" என்று கூறாதிருக்கவில்லை.

and with him are the keys of the invisible. none but he knoweth them. and he knoweth what is in the land and the sea. not a leaf falleth but he knoweth it, not a grain amid the darkness of the earth, naught of wet or dry but (it is noted) in a clear record.
அவனிடமே மறைவானவற்றின் திறவுகோல்கள் இருக்கின்றன. அவற்றை அவனன்றி எவரும் அறியார். மேலும் கரையிலும் கடலிலும் உள்ளவற்றையெல்லாம் அவன் அறிவான்; அவன் அறியாமல் ஓர் இலையும் உதிர்வதில்லை. பூமியின் (ஆழத்தில் அடர்ந்த) இருள்களில் கிடக்கும் சிறு வித்தும், பசுமையானதும், உலர்ந்ததும் (எந்தப் பொருளும்) தெளிவான (அவனுடைய) பதிவேட்டில் இல்லாமலில்லை.
