o ye who believe! devour not multiplied manifold; and fear usury, allah, haply ye may fare well.
ஈமான் கொண்டோரே! இரட்டித்துக் கொண்டே அதிகரித்த நிலையில் வட்டி (வாங்கித்) தின்னாதீர்கள்;. இன்னும் நீங்கள் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சி (இதைத் தவிர்த்துக் கொண்டால்) வெற்றியடைவீர்கள்.

who is he that will lend unto allah a goodly loan, so that he will multiply it unto him manifold and allah scanteth and amplifieth, and unto him ye shall be returned.
(கஷ்டத்திலிருப்போருக்காக) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அழகிய கடன் எவர் கொடுக்கின்றாரோ, அதை அவருக்கு அவன் இரு மடங்காக்கி பன்மடங்காகச் செய்வான் - அல்லாஹ்தான் (உங்கள் செல்வத்தைச்) சுருக்குகிறான்; (அவனே அதைப்)பெருக்கியும் தருகிறான்; அன்றியும் நீங்கள் அவனிடமே மீட்டப்படுவீர்கள்.

their parable is that of one who lighted a torch, and when it had lit up all around him, allah took away their light, and left them sightless in a manifold darkness.
இத்தகையோருக்கு ஓர் உதாரணம்; நெருப்பை மூட்டிய ஒருவனின் உதாரணத்தைப் போன்றது. அ(ந் நெருப்பான)து அவனைச் சுற்றிலும் ஒளி வீசியபோது, அல்லாஹ் அவர்களுடைய ஒளியைப் பறித்துவிட்டான்; இன்னும் பார்க்க முடியாத காரிருளில் அவர்களை விட்டு விட்டான்.

who is he that will lend god a good loan, and he will multiply it for him manifold? god grasps, and outspreads; and unto him you shall be returned.
(கஷ்டத்திலிருப்போருக்காக) அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அழகிய கடன் எவர் கொடுக்கின்றாரோ, அதை அவருக்கு அவன் இரு மடங்காக்கி பன்மடங்காகச் செய்வான் - அல்லாஹ்தான் (உங்கள் செல்வத்தைச்) சுருக்குகிறான்; (அவனே அதைப்)பெருக்கியும் தருகிறான்; அன்றியும் நீங்கள் அவனிடமே மீட்டப்படுவீர்கள்.

is he who was lifeless, then we gave him life and provided him with a light by which he walks among the people, like one who dwells in a manifold darkness which he cannot leave? to the faithless is thus presented as decorous what they have been doing.
மரணம் அடைந்த ஒருவனை நாம் உயிர்ப்பித்து எழுப்பினோம் - இன்னும் அவனுக்கு ஓர் ஒளியையும் கொடுத்தோம். அதைக்கொண்டு அவன் மனிதர்களிடையே நடமாடுகிறான். மற்றொருவன் இருள்களில் சிக்கிக்கிடக்கிறான்; அதைவிட்டு அவன் வெளியேறவே முடியாது - இவ்விருவரும் சமமாவாரா? இவ்வாறு காஃபிர்களுக்கு அவர்கள் செய்யக்கூடிய (பாவச்)செயல்கள் அழகாக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

allah has revealed the best teaching, a self-consistent book which repeats its contents in manifold forms whereat shiver the skins of those that hold their lord in awe, and then their skins and their hearts soften for allah's remembrance. that is allah's guidance wherewith he guides whosoever he pleases. and he whom allah does not guide to the right path has none to guide him.
அல்லாஹ் மிக அழகான விஷயங்களை வேதமாக இறக்கியருளினான்; (இவை முரண்பாடில்லாமல்) ஒன்றுகொன்று ஒப்பான (முதஷாபிஹ் ஆன)தாகவும், (மனதில் பதியுமாறு) திரும்பத் திரும்பக் கூறப்படுவதாகவும் இருக்கின்றன தங்கள் இறைவனுக்கு எவர்கள் அஞ்சுகிறார்களோ அவர்களுடைய தொலி(களின் உரோமக்கால்)கள் (இவற்றை கேட்கும் போது) சிலிர்த்து - விடுகின்றன. பிறகு, அவர்களுடைய தொலிகளும், இருதயங்களும் அல்லாஹ்வின் தியானத்தில் இளகுகின்றன - இதுவே அல்லாஹ்வின் நேர்வழியாகும் - இதன் மூலம், தான் நாடியவர்களை அவன் நேர்வழியில் செலுத்துகிறான். ஆனால், எவனை அல்லாஹ் வழிகேட்டில் விட்டுவிடுகிறானோ, அவனை நேர்வழியில் நடத்துவோர் எவருமில்லை.
