o you who believe! when you meet those who disbelieve marching for war, then turn not your backs to them.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் நிராகரிப்போரைப் (போரில்) ஒன்று திரண்டவர்களாக சந்தித்தால் அவர்களுக்கு புறமுதுகு காட்டாதீர்கள்.

and gathered for solomon were his soldiers of the jinn and men and birds, and they were [marching] in rows.
மேலும் ஸுலைமானுக்கு ஜின்கள் மனிதர்கள் பறவைகள் ஆகியவற்றிலிருந்து அவரது படைகள் திரட்டப்பட்டு, அவை (தனித் தனியாகப்) பிரிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளன.

நிச்சயமாக அது மஞ்சள் நிறமுள்ள ஒட்டகைகள் போல் இருக்கும்.

believers, do not retreat when facing the marching army of the unbelievers, for no believer will turn back at that time except for strategic reasons or to join another band.
நம்பிக்கை கொண்டவர்களே! நீங்கள் நிராகரிப்போரைப் (போரில்) ஒன்று திரண்டவர்களாக சந்தித்தால் அவர்களுக்கு புறமுதுகு காட்டாதீர்கள்.

on that day they will follow their caller without deviation. their voices will be low in the presence of the beneficent god. you will hear nothing but the tread of the marching feet.
அந்நாளில் அவர்கள் (ஸூர் மூலம்) அழைப்பவரையே பின்பற்றிச் செல்வார்கள்; அதில் எத்தகைய கோணலும் இருக்காது இன்னும் (அவ் வேளை) அர்ரஹ்மானுக்கு (அஞ்சி) எல்லாச் சப்தங்களும் ஒடுங்கி விடும். கால்கள் (மெதுவாக அடியெடுத்து வைக்கும்) சப்தத்தைத் தவிர (வேறெதையும்) நீர் கேட்கமாட்டீர்.

and there were gathered before sulaiman (solomon) his hosts of jinns and men, and birds, and they all were set in battle order (marching forwards).
