and let not thine hand be chained to thy neck, nor stretch it forth to the utmost stretching, lest thou sit down reproached, impoverished.
(உலோபியைப் போல் எதுவும் வழங்காது) உம் கையை உம் கழுத்தில் கட்டப் பட்டதாக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்; அன்றியும், (அனைத்தையும் செலவழித்து உம் கையை) ஒரே விரிப்பாக விரித்து விடாதீர்; அதனால் நீர் நிந்திக்கப்பட்டவராகவும், (கையில் எதுவுமில்லாது) துக்கப்பட்டவராகவும் அமைந்து விடுவீர்.

and walk not in the earth exultant. lo! thou canst not rend the earth, nor canst thou stretch to the height of the hills.
மேலும், நீர் பூமியில் பெருமையாய் நடக்க வேண்டாம்; (ஏனென்றால்) நிச்சயமாக நீர் பூமியைப் பிளந்துவிட முடியாது மலையின் உச்சி(யளவு)க்கு உயர்ந்து விடவும் முடியாது.

whenever they encounter you, they treat you as enemies, and they stretch their hands and tongues against you with malice. they wish that you would disbelieve.

even if you stretch forth your hand against me to kill, i will not stretch forth my hand to kill you. surely, i fear allah, the lord of the entire universe.
அன்றியும், "நீ என்னை வெட்டுவதற்காக என்னளவில் உன் கையை நீட்டு வாயானால் நான் உன்னை வெட்டுவற்காக என் கையை உன்னளவில் நீட்ட மாட்டேன் - ஏனெனில் நான் நிச்சயமாக உலகங்களுக்கெல்லாம் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுகிறேன்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

even if thou stretch out thy hand against me to kill me, i shall not stretch out my hand against thee to kill thee, lo! i fear allah, the lord of the worlds.
அன்றியும், "நீ என்னை வெட்டுவதற்காக என்னளவில் உன் கையை நீட்டு வாயானால் நான் உன்னை வெட்டுவற்காக என் கையை உன்னளவில் நீட்ட மாட்டேன் - ஏனெனில் நான் நிச்சயமாக உலகங்களுக்கெல்லாம் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுகிறேன்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

do not stretch your eyes at the flower of this life which we have given couples to enjoy, it is with this that we might try them; and the provision of yourlord is better, and more enduring.
இன்னும், அவர்களில் சில பிரிவினர் இன்பமனுபவிக்க நாம் கொடுத்திருக்கும் (வாழ்க்கை வசதிகளின்) பக்கம் உமது கண்களை நீட்டாதீர்; (இவையெல்லாம்) அவர்களைச் சோதிப்பதற்காகவே நாம் கொடுத்துள்ள உலக வாழ்க்கையின் அலங்காரங்களாகும். உமது இறைவன் (மறுமையில் உமக்கு) வழங்கவிருப்பது சிறந்ததும் நிலையானதும் ஆகும்.

believers, remember the favor which allah bestowed upon you when certain people were about to stretch their hands towards you, but he restrained them. have fear of allah. in allah let the believers put their trust.
முஃமின்களே! ஒரு கூட்டத்தார் தம் கைகளை உங்களிடம் நீட்(டி உங்களைக் கொன்று வி)டத் தீர்மானித்த போது, உங்களை விட்டு அவர்கள் கைகளை தடுத்து அல்லாஹ் உங்களுக்குப் புரிந்த அருளை நினைவு கூறுங்கள் - ஆகவே, அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுங்கள்;. இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வின் மீதே முஃமின்கள் (முழுமையாக) நம்பிக்கை வைக்கட்டும்.

"if thou dost stretch thy hand against me, to slay me, it is not for me to stretch my hand against thee to slay thee: for i do fear allah, the cherisher of the worlds.
அன்றியும், "நீ என்னை வெட்டுவதற்காக என்னளவில் உன் கையை நீட்டு வாயானால் நான் உன்னை வெட்டுவற்காக என் கையை உன்னளவில் நீட்ட மாட்டேன் - ஏனெனில் நான் நிச்சயமாக உலகங்களுக்கெல்லாம் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுகிறேன்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).

"if you do stretch your hand against me to kill me, i shall never stretch my hand against you to kill you, for i fear allah; the lord of the 'alamin (mankind, jinns, and all that exists)."
அன்றியும், "நீ என்னை வெட்டுவதற்காக என்னளவில் உன் கையை நீட்டு வாயானால் நான் உன்னை வெட்டுவற்காக என் கையை உன்னளவில் நீட்ட மாட்டேன் - ஏனெனில் நான் நிச்சயமாக உலகங்களுக்கெல்லாம் இறைவனாகிய அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு அஞ்சுகிறேன்" (என்றும் கூறினார்).
