—it is they who are zealous in [performing] good works and take the lead in them.
இ(த்தகைய)வர்கள் தாம் நன்மைகளின் பக்கம் விரைகின்றனர்; இன்னும் அவற்றை (நிறைவேற்றி வைப்பதில்) முந்துபவர்களாகவும் இருப்பார்கள்.

since the disbelievers held zealous ignorance in their hearts, like that of the pre-islamic age of darkness, god gave confidence to his messenger and to the believers, binding them to the principle of piety which they deserve. god has the knowledge of all things.
(காஃபிராக) நிராகரித்துக் கொண்டிருந்தார்களே அவர்கள் வைராக்கியத்தை - முட்டாள்தனமான வைராக்கியத்தை - தங்கள் உள்ளங்களில் உண்டாக்கிக் கொண்ட சமயம் அல்லாஹ் தன் தூதர் மீதும், முஃமின்கள் மீதும் தன் அமைதியை இறக்கியருள் செய்து, அவர்களுக்கு (பயபக்தியூட்டும்) தக்வாவுடைய வாக்கியத்தின் மீதும் அவர்களை நிலை பெறச் செய்தான்; அவர்களோ அதற்கு மிகவும் தகுதியுடையவர்களாகவும், அதற்குரியவர்களாகவும் இருந்தார்கள் - அல்லாஹ் சகல பொருள்களையும் நன்கறிந்தவனாக இருக்கின்றான்.
