Бигӯ: «Шояд баъзе аз он чӣ ба шитоб металабед, наздики шумо бошад».

'this is that you were promised; it is for every mindful penitent.'
Ин ҳамон чизест, ки ба ҳар тавбакунащдаи парҳезгоре ваъдааш дода буданд.

Мебахшед, ки шумо сардед. Дар ҳуҷра гармкунак фурӯзон аст ва агар хоҳед, дар ошхона чойи дигар тайёр карда метавонед. Ман хоб меравам ва пагоҳ ҳамдигарро мебинем!

Чӣ бад доварӣ мекунанд.

and indeed, there is among them a party who alter the scripture with their tongues so you may think it is from the scripture, but it is not from the scripture.
Ва аз миёни онҳо гурӯҳе ҳастанд, ки ба шеваи китоби Худо сухан мегӯянд, то пиндоред, ки он чӣ мегӯянд, аз китоби Худост, дар ҳоле ки аз китоби Худо нест.

thus it is that allah seals the hearts of those who deny the truth.
Ва ба он чизҳо, ки аз он пеш дурӯғ хонда буданд, имон наёварданд. Ва Худо бар дилҳои кофирон инчунин мӯҳр мениҳад!

and among them are those who twist the scripture with their tongues, that you may think it from the scripture, when it is not from the scripture.
Ва аз миёни онҳо гурӯҳе ҳастанд, ки ба шеваи китоби Худо сухан мегӯянд, то пиндоред, ки он чӣ мегӯянд, аз китоби Худост, дар ҳоле ки аз китоби Худо нест.

and do not let those who are greedy with what allah has given them of his bounty think it is better for them, but rather, it is worse for them.
Онон, ки дар неъмате, ки Худо ба онҳо ато кардааст, бахилӣ мекунанд, напиндоранд, ки дар бахилӣ кардан барояшон хайр аст. На, шарр аст!

(it shall be said to them): 'this is that you were promised. it is for every heeding penitent.
Ин ҳамон чизест, ки ба ҳар тавбакунащдаи парҳезгоре ваъдааш дода буданд.

and you will [come to] know who it is that is in clear error."
Ва ба зуди, хоҳед донист, чӣ касе дар гумроҳии ошкор аст!»

and when it is said to them, “beware of what is before you and what is behind you, in the hope of your gaining mercy”, they turn away!
Ва он гоҳ ки ба онҳо гуфта шавад, ки аз он чӣ дар пеши рӯй доред ё пушти сар мегузоред, битарсед, шояд бар шумо раҳмат оранд, рӯй бигардонанд.

and of his signs is that he shows you lightning, arousing both fear and hope, and sends down water from the sky and revives the earth after it is dead.
Ва аз нишонаҳои қудрати Ӯст, ки барқро ба қасди биму умед ба шумо менамоёнад. Ва аз осмон борон мефиристад то замини мурдаро ба он зинда созад.

and what could make you know what it is that comes in the night?
Ва ту чӣ донӣ, ки он чӣ дар шаб ояд, чист?

and certainly we have established you in the earth and made in it means of livelihood for you; little it is that you give thanks.
Дар замнн ҷойгоҳатон додем ва роҳҳои маъишататонро дар он қарор додем. Ва чӣ андак шукр мегузоред!

'not so; rather it is that you sought to hasten -- a wind, wherein is a painful chastisement,
На ин ҳамон чизест, ки онро ба шитоб металабидед. Бод аст ва дар он бод азобе дардовар,

[it is that] you believe in allah and his messenger and strive in the cause of allah with your wealth and your lives.
Ба Худову паёмбараш имон биёваред ва дар роҳи Худо бо молу ҷони худ ҷиҳод кунед.

say: he is the beneficent allah, we believe in him and on him do we rely, so you shall come to know who it is that is in clear error.
Ба Ӯ имон овардем ва бар Ӯ таваккал кардем. Ва ба зуди, хоҳед донист, чӣ касе дар гумроҳии ошкор аст!»

nay, but it is that (torment) which you were asking to be hastened! a wind wherein is a painful torment!
На ин ҳамон чизест, ки онро ба шитоб металабидед. Бод аст ва дар он бод азобе дардовар,
