secretary-general iranian violations of the ceasefire and the 1991 tehran agreement, 20 december 2000-24 april 2001 20 december 2000 at 1730 hours the dredger al-sumud and the tugboat al-amin came under intense fire from an iranian military craft near the ra's al-bayshah area. 11 february 2001 at 0900 hours boat no. 3134/basrah left put out to sea under its master ali saddam haydar and with five crewmen on board to fish in iraqi territorial waters. the motor broke down, and they tried unsuccessfully to repair it. they were taken by the current towards iranian territorial waters. at 1000 hours, while they were in the ra's abadan area at latitude 29/50 and longitude 58/48 (chart no. 1238), they were approached by an iranian military craft with four armed iranians on board. the latter boarded the fishing boat and searched it for weapons but found nothing. they then took the fishermen to the port at bandar imam, where they were questioned by the iranian authorities, remanded to an
