nunc dimittis servum tuum domine secundum verbum tuum in pac
lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

nunc ergo domine es deus et locutus es ad servum tuum tanta benefici
and now, lord, thou art god, and hast promised this goodness unto thy servant:

quid ultra addere potest david cum ita glorificaveris servum tuum et cognoveris eu
what can david speak more to thee for the honour of thy servant? for thou knowest thy servant.

et ille quid peccavi inquit quoniam trades me servum tuum in manu ahab ut interficiat m
and he said, what have i sinned, that thou wouldest deliver thy servant into the hand of ahab, to slay me?

for all of my father's house were but dead men before my lord the king: yet didst thou set thy servant among them that did eat at thine own table. what right therefore have i yet to cry any more unto the king?

octogenarius sum hodie numquid vigent sensus mei ad discernendum suave aut amarum aut delectare potest servum tuum cibus et potus vel audire ultra possum vocem cantorum atque cantricum quare servus tuus fit oneri domino meo reg
i am this day fourscore years old: and can i discern between good and evil? can thy servant taste what i eat or what i drink? can i hear any more the voice of singing men and singing women? wherefore then should thy servant be yet a burden unto my lord the king?
