ik vraag mij af of het feit dat de raad hulp zoekt bij de oeso nog zo'n intergouvernementeel stuipje is waarvan de raad de laatste tijd wel vaker last lijkt te hebben. ik ben dan ook van mening dat de benadering van de rapporteur de juiste is: wij moeten alle dierproeven in europa verbieden, stappen zetten in de richting van een afzetverbod en alternatieve methoden bevorderen.
i do not know whether this recourse to the oecd is just another symptom of the intergovernmental shift that has been affecting the council of late and i therefore believe that the rapporteur's position is the most appropriate one: we must ban testing on animals in europe, we must move towards a ban on the marketing of these products and towards alternative methods.
