mujhe job ki jarurat hai

(ہائے) میری سلطنت خاک میں مل گئی
"my power and arguments (to defend myself) have gone from me!"

جب ابراہیم سے خوف جاتا رہا اور ان کو خوشخبری بھی مل گئی تو قوم لوط کے بارے میں لگے ہم سے بحث کرنے
and when ibrahim’s fear abated and the glad tidings reached him, he argued with us regarding the people of lut.

اور ان سے دنیا کی زندگی کی مثال بیان کرو مثل ایک پانی کے ہے جسے ہم نے آسمان سے برسایا پھر زمین کی روئیدگی پانی کے ساتھ مل گئی پھر وہ ریزہ ریز ہ ہو گئی کہ اسے ہوا ئیں اڑاتی پھرتی ہیں اور الله ہر چیز پر قدرت رکنے والا ہے
and present to them the example of the life of this world, [its being] like rain which we send down from the sky, and the vegetation of the earth mingles with it and [then] it becomes dry remnants, scattered by the winds. and allah is ever, over all things, perfect in ability.

جس کو چاہتا ہے حکمت عطا کرتا ہے، اور جس کو حکمت ملی، اُسے حقیقت میں بڑی دولت مل گئی اِن باتوں سے صرف وہی لوگ سبق لیتے ہیں، جو دانشمند ہیں
allah bestows wisdom on whomever he wills; and whoever receives wisdom has received abundant goodness; but none heed advice except men of understanding.

جب ابراہیم (ع) کا خوف دور ہوگیا اور انہیں خوشخبری مل گئی تو قومِ لوط(ع) کے بارے میں ہم سے جھگڑنے لگے۔
and when ibrahim’s fear abated and the glad tidings reached him, he argued with us regarding the people of lut.

اور ان سے دنیا کی زندگی کی مثال بھی بیان کردو (وہ ایسی ہے) جیسے پانی جسے ہم نے آسمان سے برسایا۔ تو اس کے ساتھ زمین کی روئیدگی مل گئی۔ پھر وہ چورا چورا ہوگئی کہ ہوائیں اسے اڑاتی پھرتی ہیں۔ اور خدا تو ہر چیز پر قدرت رکھتا ہے
(muhammad), tell them, "the worldly life resembles the (seasonal) plants that blossom by the help of the water which god sends from the sky. after a short time all of them fade away and the winds scatter them (and turns them into dust). god has power over all things.
