and when our command came about, we turned it upside down, and we rained down on it stones of baked clay.

markuu yimid amarkannagii oo tanuurkii burqaday waxaan ku nidhi ku xambaar doonida nooc kasta labo iyo xaaskaaga ciddii dhumid loo xukumay mooyee, iyo cidii rumaysa xaqa (iyana ku xambaar) mana rumeynin wax yar mooyee.
(so it was) till then there came our command and the oven gushed forth (water like fountains from the earth). we said: "embark therein, of each kind two (male and female), and your family, except him against whom the word has already gone forth, and those who believe. and none believed with him, except a few."

the example of [this] worldly life is but like rain which we have sent down from the sky that the plants of the earth absorb - [those] from which men and livestock eat - until, when the earth has taken on its adornment and is beautified and its people suppose that they have capability over it, there comes to it our command by night or by day, and we make it as a harvest, as if it had not flourished yesterday. thus do we explain in detail the signs for a people who give thought.
