waxayse isku khilaafeen amarkoodii dhexdooda dhammaanna xagaygaa loo soo celin.
and [yet] they divided their affair among themselves, [but] all to us will return.

maxaa yeelay ilaahay iyo rasuulkiisa yey khilaafeen, ruuxii eebe khilaafana ciqaabtiisu waa darantahay.
because they broke their promise with allah and his messenger; and whosoever breaks their promise with allah allah is stern in retribution.

maxaayeelay waxay khilaafeen eebe iyo rasuulkiisa, ciddii khilaafta eebe iyo rasuulkiisana eebe waa u ciqaab daranyahay.
for they had opposed god and his apostle; but whosoever opposes god and his apostle (should know) that god is severe in retribution.

wayse is khilaafeen xisbiyadii dhexdooda halaagna wuxuu u sugnaaday kuwii dulmi falay cadaab maalin daran xageed.
but certain groups created differences among themselves. woe to the unjust. they will face a painful torment.

quraankanna wuxuu ka qisoon (warrami) banii israa'iil wixii badnaa ay isku khilaafeen.

of these messengers, we have preferred some above others. to some allah spoke; and some he raised in rank. we gave (prophet) jesus, the son of mary, clear signs and strengthened him with the spirit of purity (gabriel). had allah willed, those who succeeded them would not have fought against one another after the clear verses came to them. but they differed among themselves; some believed, and others disbelieved. yet had allah willed, they would not have fought against one another. allah does whatever he will.
