and had those who disbelieve fought against you, surely they would have turned their backs, and then they would have found no patron nor helper.

anagaa sokeeye idiin ah nolosha addunyo iyo aakhiraba, waxaana idiinsugnaaday dhexdeeda waxay doonto naftiinnu waxaadna ka helaysaan waxaad dalabtaan.

iyagu kaagama taraan eebe xagiisa waxba, daalimiintana qaarkood wuxuu u yahay sokeeye qaarka kale, eebana waa u wali kuwa dhawrsada.
indeed they will not avail you in any way against allah. indeed the wrongdoers are allies of one another, but allah is the ally of the godwary.

waana kuwa ka yeesha gaalada sokeeye mu'miniinta ka sokow, ma waxay ka dooni agtooda sharaf, sharafna eebaa iska leh dhammaanteed.
as for those who take the deniers of the truth for their allies rather than the believers -- do they seek honour in their company? surely all honour belongs to god.

umana sugnaan awliyo (sokeeye) ugargaara eeve ka sokoow ruux eebe qaddaray dhumidiisana jid uma sugnaanin (uu ku tooso).
and no protectors have they to help them, other than allah. and for any whom allah leaves to stray, there is no way (to the goal).
