(muhammad), do not be grieved because of some people's haste to disbelieve.

vijana hao walipo kimbilia kwenye pango walisema: mola wetu mlezi!
(remember) when the young men fled for refuge (from their disbelieving folk) to the cave, they said: "our lord!

wala wasikuhuzunishe wale wanao kimbilia ukafirini. hakika hao hawamdhuru kitu mwenyezi mungu.
and let not those grieve thee who hasten toward infidelity; verily they shall not harm allah at all.

basi wote hao ndio wanao kimbilia katika mambo ya kheri, na ndio watakao tangulia kuyafikia.
are the ones who hasten to goodness and outpace the others.

vijana hao walipo kimbilia kwenye pango walisema: mola wetu mlezi! tupe rehema itokayo kwako, na tutengezee uwongofu katika jambo letu.
[mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "our lord, grant us from yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."

(kwa) wanao tubia, wanao abudu, wanao himidi, wanao kimbilia kheri, wanao rukuu, wanao sujudu, wanao amrisha mema na wanao kataza maovu, na wanao linda mipaka ya mwenyezi mungu.
(the believers whose lives allah has purchased are) those who repent to allah (from polytheism and hypocrisy, etc.), who worship him, who praise him, who fast (or go out in allah's cause), who bow down (in prayer), who prostrate themselves (in prayer), who enjoin (people) for al-ma'ruf (i.e. islamic monotheism and all what islam has ordained) and forbid (people) from al-munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds and all that islam has forbidden), and who observe the limits set by allah (do all that allah has ordained and abstain from all kinds of sins and evil deeds which allah has forbidden).
