and collect ( wealth ) and hide it ( from spending it in the cause of allah ) .
ገንዘብን የሰበሰበንና ( ዘካውን ሳይሰጥ ) የቆጠረንም ፤ ( ትጠራለች ) ፡ ፡

and we have sent down rain from the sky in a measured amount and settled it in the earth . and indeed , we are able to take it away .
ከሰማይም ውሃን በልክ አወረድን ፡ ፡ በምድርም ውስጥ አስቀመጥነው ፡ ፡ እኛም እርሱን በማስወገድ ላይ በእርግጥ ቻዮች ነን ፡ ፡

and verily ye used to wish for death before ye met it ( in the field ) . now ye have seen it with your eyes !
( በጦርነት ላይ ) መሞትንም ሳታገኙት በፊት በርግጥ የምትመኙት ነበራችሁ ፡ ፡ እናንተም የምትመለከቱ ስትኾኑ በርግጥ አያችሁት ( ታዲያ ለምን ሸሻችሁ )

we will turn away their hearts and eyes from the truth , since they refused to believe in it in the first instance . we will let them wander blindly in their insolence .
በመጀመሪያም ጊዜ በእርሱ እንዳላመኑ ሁሉ ልቦቻቸውንና ዓይኖቻቸውን እናገላብጣለን ፡ ፡ በጥመታቸውም ውስጥ የሚዋልሉ ሲኾኑ እንተዋቸዋለን ፡ ፡

and he said : embark in it , in the name of allah be its sailing and its anchoring ; most surely my lord is forgiving , merciful .

በእርሱ ከተበሰረበት ነገር መጥፎነት በውርደት ላይ ኾኖ ይያዘውን ወይስ በዐፈር ውስጥ ይደብቀውን ( በማለት እያምታታ ) ከሰዎች ይደበቃል ፡ ፡ ንቁ ! የሚፈርዱት ( ፍርድ ) ምንኛ ከፋ !

a party of the people of the book said : ' believe in the morning what has been revealed to those who believe , and then deny it in the evening that they may thus retract ( from their faith ) . '
