Ես երկու կատուներ ունեմ:

but i say unto you, it shall be more tolerable for tyre and sidon at the day of judgment, than for you.
Բայց ասում եմ ձեզ, Տիւրոսի եւ Սիդոնի երկրի համար աւելի տանելի կը լինի դատաստանի օրը, քան ձեզ համար:

but i have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Բայց ես աղօթեցի քեզ համար, որպէսզի քո հաւատը չպակասի, եւ դու, երբ վերադառնաս ինձ, հաստատես քո եղբայրներին»:

but i have a baptism to be baptized with; and how am i straitened till it be accomplished!
Եւ մի մկրտութիւն ունեմ մկրտուելու եւ ինչպէ՜ս եմ շտապում, որ կատարուի:

henceforth i call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but i have called you friends; for all things that i have heard of my father i have made known unto you.
Այլեւս ձեզ ծառաներ չեմ կոչում, որովհետեւ ծառան չգիտէ, թէ տէրն ինչ է անում. այլ ձեզ բարեկամներ կոչեցի, որովհետեւ այն բոլորը, ինչ իմ Հօրից լսեցի, յայտնեցի ձեզ:

but i have greater witness than that of john: for the works which the father hath given me to finish, the same works that i do, bear witness of me, that the father hath sent me.
Բայց ես աւելի մեծ վկայութիւն ունեմ, քան Յովհաննէսինը. այն գործերը, որ Հայրն ինձ տուեց, որ կատարեմ, այդ նոյն գործերն իսկ, որ անում եմ, վկայում են իմ մասին, թէ Հայրն է ուղարկել ինձ:

jesus answered, i have not a devil; but i honour my father, and ye do dishonour me.
Յիսուս պատասխանեց եւ ասաց. «Իմ մէջ դեւ չկայ, այլ պատւում եմ իմ Հօրը, իսկ դուք անարգում էք ինձ:

no man taketh it from me, but i lay it down of myself. i have power to lay it down, and i have power to take it again. this commandment have i received of my father.
Այն ինձնից ոչ ոք չի վերցնի, այլ ես ինքս եմ այն տալիս. իշխանութիւն ունեմ այն տալու եւ իշխանութիւն ունեմ վերստին այն առնելու. այս պատուէրը իմ Հօրից ստացայ»:

ye have not chosen me, but i have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the father in my name, he may give it you.
Ոչ թէ դուք ինձ ընտրեցիք, այլ ես ձեզ ընտրեցի եւ ձեզ կարգեցի, որ դուք գնաք եւ պտղաբեր լինէք, եւ ձեր պտուղը մնայ, եւ ինչ էլ որ իմ անունով Հօրիցս խնդրէք, ձեզ տայ:

behold now, i have two daughters which have not known man; let me, i pray you, bring them out unto you, and do ye to them as is good in your eyes: only unto these men do nothing; for therefore came they under the shadow of my roof.
Ես երկու դուստր ունեմ, որոնց տղամարդ չի մօտեցել: Բերեմ նրանց ձեզ մօտ, եւ նրանց հետ արէք այն, ինչ հաճոյ է ձեզ, միայն թէ այդ մարդկանց նկատմամբ որեւէ մեղք մի՛ գործէք, որովհետեւ նրանք մտել են իմ յարկի տակ»:

and the lord said unto moses, when thou goest to return into egypt, see that thou do all those wonders before pharaoh, which i have put in thine hand: but i will harden his heart, that he shall not let the people go.
Տէրն ասաց Մովսէսին. «Եգիպտոս գնալիս ու վերադառնալիս փարաւոնի առաջ ջանա՛, որ անես բոլոր այն նշանները, որոնք անելու շնորհը տուել եմ քո ձեռքը: Ես խստասիրտ կը դարձնեմ փարաւոնին, եւ նա ազատ չի արձակի ժողովրդին:
