do not be like those who became divided and differed after manifest signs had come to them . for such there will be a great punishment
तुम उन लोगों की तरह न हो जाना जो विभेद में पड़ गए , और इसके पश्चात कि उनके पास खुली निशानियाँ आ चुकी थी , वे विभेद में पड़ गए । ये वही लोग है , जिनके लिए बड़ी यातना है ।

you did not expect the scripture to be transmitted to you , except as mercy from your lord . therefore , do not be a supporter of the disbelievers .

and do not be chary of pursuing them . if you suffer , they shall also suffer like you . but while you have hope from god , they have none . surely god is all - knowing and all - wise .
और उन लोगों का पीछा करने में सुस्ती न दिखाओ । यदि तुम्हें दुख पहुँचता है ; तो उन्हें भी दुख पहुँचता है , जिस तरह तुमको दुख पहुँचता है । और तुम अल्लाह से उस चीज़ की आशा करते हो , जिस चीज़ की वे आशा नहीं करते । अल्लाह तो सब कुछ जाननेवाला , तत्वदर्शी है

she herself says as much in the following lines : pray , handle me with loving care for i am soft and tender beyond measure ; do not be hard on me : here i am ready to be a slave unto you .

• a person with integrity is always honest: mahatma gandhi is an example for being honest and integral throughout his life. he stood by his principles of truth and nonviolence at all times, irrespective of all the oppositions he faced. this is mainly true when he took back the movements like non-cooperation and civil disobedience, when they turned violent. • an honest person need not be the one with integrity: many ethicists believe that only a person with integrity is an honest person. however, integrity is art comparing your behaviour to your own rules, rules of an organisation one is working in, rules of a state etc. while honesty has societal convention to it. therefore, it is possible that one can break the rules but be honest about it. o example: an employee not submitting their report on time lacks integrity but he/she may be honest about not doing so. • a person without integrity is mostly dishonest: it is also believed that persons who lack integrity are mostly dishonest. these people use lies as means to find their way through the world. the absence of moral standards or non-adherence to basic human values shows the lack of integrity. they may end up damaging not only their personal relations but also professional ones. o example: charles ponzi who is famous for ‘ponzi’ schemes lied to the people and took their money. he also became rich at the cost of the hard earned money of other people. he can be an example of a dishonest person who lacks integrity. • few acts of dishonesty can be the integral: during the holocaust in germany many german citizens lied to the nazis to save the life of the jews. those germans from the viewpoint of standards of conduct were dishonest. but, if the consequences are also taken into account we could say that they have integrity. they lied to save the life of a person. integrity demands us to engage with thoughts and reflections that promote better rational and objective decision making in personal and private life, better handling of difficult circumstances with fortitude, better resolution of problems and challenges and thus makes an individual an emotionally intelligent person. • integrity involves doing the right thing even if nobody is watching. honesty involves being truthful, sincere and free of deceit. integrity involves steadfast adherence to a strict moral or ethical code. integrity involves actions rather than just words. o for example, recusal of judges from a particular case, wherein they are not only being honest regarding their conflict of interest but also acting upon by not being the part of the proceedings. someone debating on a topic of which they have little knowledge can be said to be honest in whatever point they make but, this action will definitely lack integrity. • honesty does not mean that a person adheres to a moral code but integrity ensures compliance. integrity makes an individual emotionally intelligent.
